Eligibility criterion in most of the universities for MCA is Bachelor degree from a recognized university. Therefore you are eligible to do MCA after BA. You must look for detailed eligibility criterion in your targeted universities.

You can go for MBA as it is a professional qualification and will help you get a good career. Otherwise, if you want to join academics, you can also go for MA and then qualify UGC- NET.
After MBA also, you can opt for corporate or academics as you wish. MBA will also make you eligible for specialist officers exam in banks and other public sector enterprises like NTPC, BHEL,etc.
