Of course, you can switch your career but I want to ask a straight forward question - As I see you are a commercial Pilot, which area are you thinking for career development?
There are many IT Professional certification courses are around and I need to know your choice of interest.
Under Electronics and Communication Engineering
You can go for VLSI certification if you want to work in Semiconductor industry
Embedded training preferable for interest in robotics
CCNA certifications to work in IT engineering
Matlab/Simulink training to work in Signal processing/telecom/control system industries

Both the certifications are more of the technical side. If you have no interest in MCA, then maybe it is difficult for you to understand them better. MCA is not really required for networking certification.
