No doubt, IITs are the top government funded institutes of India. NITs follow IITs and are next best in Engineering. So, if you are targeting top-10 institute than you must target these institutes. You need to sit for JEE-Mains and score good to have a chance for NITs. For IITs you need to first qualify JEE-Mains and then JEE Advanced. Only way to excel in JEE is continuous effort in learning the topics (PCM) of 11th and 12th. Try to solve questions with proper logic. Take as many tests as possible. Determined effort towards preparation will definitely help you to get into top institute. Best of Luck.

Kindly predict your college in this college predictor. JEE Main rank predictor is an online tool which predicts the candidates rank range and probable colleges based on the difficulty level of the examination, average marks scored in JEE Main and seats available in IITs, NITs, GFTIs, and other SFTIs.
The rank predicted might not be accurate but it certainly does give an idea to the aspirant.
Know your college admission chances based on your JEE Main Rank, Home State, Caste, Gender, etc here https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor

In my opinion, you should keep yourself cool instead of taking any pressure. JEE Main has been conducted twice this year and a lot of students have given both the exams. Hence, predicting specific colleges is a quite difficult job. So participate in all JoSAA counselling rounds timely. I can only wish all the best.
