As long as you clear all the pending backlogs before taking admission in any B-school, your chances won't get affected. Though you might be asked about your arrears in the interviews, so it would be better to be prepared for it. Good luck.

To be a lecturer in History, you need to have same History as a subject but that again depends on the requirement of a particular university/institute.
