IMUCET

IMUCET is the entrance examination for colleges affiliated to IMU whereas TMI has its own screening test called TMISAT. The intention is to check your basic knowledge in science, maths and English, aptitude additionally. If you are well versed with what you learnt in class 12, I don't think you need much preparation. As far as English is concerned, you need to work on your grammar. Even if you manage to clear the English exam, with poor English you wouldn't be able to sustain the interview. Students who are weak in English but have an excellent academic record are considered and are usually called a week before the sessions begin for English tutorials in TMI. Comparing both TMISAT and IMUCET is irrelevant as both of them hold equal integrity. The only thing I would say is you need not prepare separately provided you have studied well for the boards.
