It depends on your future plans. If you wish to appear for government jobs or become an academician, than M.Com is better but generally private sectors prefer students with MBA degree.

Hi,
If you are planning for distance education go for M.Com.
Doing MBA in distance mode is not a good choice.
The scope for MBA is high only f pursued through regular mode.

Dear Mohan,
To achieve your target, you have to crack the NET exam or would complete Ph.D in particular domain with good grade and you should have good command over your subject .
Many universities do consider the correspondence degree for their lecturer opening but some don't.

M.Com graduates can join State Bank of India as probationary officer and earn up to Rs.25, 000/- per month. For that, they should qualify the written test and interview held for probationary officer by State Bank of India (SBI). Admission in M.Com in DU is through entrance examination and merit. Total 185 seats are filled by entrance examinations and 174 are filled by merit from students who have completed B.Com from DU.

For MBA, you have to appear for GMAT examination and your IELTS score is low as per USA standard. You have to score 6.5 band. But, with that score still you have a chance to apply in some universities.
