The minimum educational qualification required to pursue this course is 10+2 Science stream schooling with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Students should have passed 12th Board examination from a recognised Board. Minimum marks criteria may exist and are generally around 50-60% marks in Board Examination.

As per the eligibility criteria, your chances of getting admission in Maritime Institute look slim but you can still apply and look for other colleges.

You must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with:
At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), and at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.

Diploma in Nautical Science: Admission Process:
Admission to Diploma in Nautical Science course is based on Merit list or Entrance-exam. Most of the colleges and institutes conduct counseling and select students based on merit list prepared by the university. Some of the reputed colleges conduct entrance examination to select students for this course admission. Some of the major entrance exams conducted by the colleges are:
IMU CET
IMU DNS
GME
ETO
Entrance exam may vary from one state to another. Each college has their own exam pattern. Few colleges directly admit students for this course admission. Regards.
