Graduation in psychology and sociology have a single difference and that is, sociology focuses on how groups and societies function, while psychology focuses on how individuals function. Both psychology and sociology have almost equal job opportunities. Sociology is little bit more job opportunities in comparison to psychology, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment opportunities for sociologists are expected to increase at 15 percent from 2012 to 2022 while the employment of psychologists is expected to grow at a rate of 12 percent from 2012 to 2022.
