Teaching subjects at the TGT level depends upon the subject you have studied in your graduation. For a language teacher you must have studied English as subject for all three years in your graduation then only you are eligible for TGT English teacher. You must know that there is no special subject as Commerce at TGT level. Therefore, with the combination of B.St and Economics you are eligible for the TGT Social Science. I would suggest you to do Master just after B.Ed.

To become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor, firstly you have to qualify the exam like UGC NET. The UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency to select the serving candidates for lectureship (Assistant Professor) or awarding Junior Research Fellowship. The minimum eligibility criteria to become eligible for UGC NET Exam is having a complete Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks. As you got 74% in your master's degree, you meet the required eligibility criteria for the exam.

There is no age limit to appear in NET Exam for Lectureship but if you are going to apply for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) then the maximum age limit is 30 years. I hope it helps.

UGC NET Exam is conducted to select the deserving candidates for lectureship or awarding Junior Research Fellowship. If you are an aspirant who has completed Masters degree in Management and have secured the 55% aggregate marks in it, then you cleared the minimum eligibility criteria to appear in this exam. in Commerce must have successfully completed their high school /10+2 or equivalent exam in any stream from any recognised board. The students are also expected to achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their graduation.

Primary stage (For becoming teachers from class I to V). Elementary stage (For becoming teachers from class VI to VIII). If you have completed 12th or its equivalent exam from a recognised board with above 50% marks then you are eligible for the Primary stage TET exam. If you have completed a graduate degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for Elementary stage TET exam. There is no age criteria for TET exam.
