Hello Nishi,
I am glad that you are sure about which stream you have to make your career. Sometimes, it becomes difficult for students to choose the stream. NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice in a year generally in the month of June and December. June 2019 will be going to be conducted from 20-28 June excluding the Saturday and Sunday. Hi,
You can apply as there is no upper age limit for applying for assistant professor. A minimum of 50% is required for SC/ST category and you have scored 54%. So, undoubtedly, you can apply for this post. Some important topics for UGC NET exam (Political Science subject) are:

After qualifying the UGC NET Exam, you can apply in various institutes and universities to take the position of assistant professor. Based on your scorecard, you have to keep a check on the websites. Whenever the vacancies rolled out, you can apply for the same. You also can try in various PSUs like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), etc.

Hello,
You have completed your B.Tech, but for applying UGC NET with the IT subject, you should have a post-graduation degree in computer Science or Informational technology. After that, you can apply for JRF or Lectureship. Before to apply for both of the posts, you should check the Key factors related to UGC NET Exam. You must have to follow the below eligibility criteria:- You must have scored 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Masters. - Age must not be more than 28 years, for applying for Junior Research Fellowship. - No upper age limit for applying the post of assistant professor.

Yes, you can still become a lecturer by qualifying the NET exam after completion of your M.A. It does not matter if you have completed your MA from Open University, all you require is that university should be a recognized university and you have completed the post-graduation with a minimum required marks. NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice a year for candidates who want to make a career in lectureship.
