To ascertain an Indian national's eligibility for an Assistant Professor position and a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the NET exam. A postgraduate degree in physical education known as an M.P.Ed. is accepted as credit toward the "Physical Education" topic code on the NET exam.You must fulfill the following requirements in order to be qualified for NET:Age: 31 years old for JRF candidates (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates), although there is no higher age limit for assistant professors.The second requirement is education: a master's degree in physical education or its equivalent with at least 55% of the possible points (50% for candidates who identify as SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
