NTA UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges. NTA UGC NET Exam consists of 2 papers. Candidates need to appear both UGC NET paper 1 & paper 2 and pass both the papers or exams separately in order to qualify the UGC NET exam. Hence, UGC NET cannot be qualified only by appearing paper 1.
