In 1890, the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael had established the Dominican College. It is affiliated to NAICU CIC. The Dominican University of California is a private university in San Rafael of California. It is a part of the residential neighbourhood that is situated near the base of the San Pedro Mountain. The gardens that are a part of the university campus have around a hundred tree species. It has co-ed residential halls. The campus also has the Ansel Adams Collection, Della Robia and Forest Meadows Amphitheatre.
