North Central College Highlights
North Central College, situated in Naperville, Illinois is a private Liberal Arts college. The college was established in 1861 and is recognized by the United Methodist Church. The college campus is spread across a vast area of 65 acres. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
North Central is home to nearly 3,000 students and offers more than 70 undergraduate majors, 60 additional undergraduate minors and concentrations, and 12 graduate degree programs. The college provides amenities to its students in the form of a recreational center, gymnasium, auditorium, theatre hall, concert hall, science center, and sports facility center. The college provides intercultural seminars, value seminars, ethics, and leadership courses, which is an integral part of the integrative curriculum. The Oesterle Library offers students and faculty ready access to more than 36 million items from 87 college and university libraries in Illinois in addition to more than 250,000 items in our collections, and electronic access to a wide-ranging array of full-text documents
North Central College has exchange partnerships with universities in Australia, England, France, Greece, Japan, Kenya, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and Turkey; and fall term group programs abroad in China/Japan, Costa Rica, and England. The college also provides opportunities for individual work, like an Honors program, Senior Honors Thesis, and the Richer Independent Study Grants. The students of the college are also provided with an opportunity to study in foreign countries in full-year programs, three-week courses, or full-time term-long programs.
The college provides majors in Theatrical Design, Music, Musical Theatre, and Theatre. The college also provides science majors in varied Health Sciences, Engineering, and Neuroscience. The college participates and competes in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and NCAA Division III.
