Students can easily find part-time jobs while studying at Wagner College. Students maintaining an F-1 visa are eligible to work on campus and do not require any other authorization. Students are required to have a Social Security Number which they get by filling out an online employment application and they can review on-campus jobs at the Student Employment Program web page. Students may work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and 28 hours per week during break periods

F-1 students can obtain job experience in their major field of study under the Off-Campus Employment Authorization known as Optional Practical Training (OPT). For each educational level, the maximum amount of work allowed is 12 months of full-time employment.
