Utkal University offers a two-year regular course of MBA. Apart from this, the university also offers two other Management courses, namely MBA in Financial Management and MBA in Agribusiness specialisation. All the MBA courses are taught by the Department of Commerce and the Department of Business Administration. Utkal University admits students to MBA via a common selection process, which is inclusive of qualifying for the respective entrance exam, followed by PI round.

Utkal University admission to MBA (Financial Management) course start with filling the application form. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) to be eligible for this course. Further, to secure a seat to MBA (Financial Management) course at Utkal University, candidates must qualify for CPET exam with a valid score.

At the time of applying for admission to Utkal University MBA course, candidates have to pay an application amount of INR 600 as a one-time fee. Utkal University accepts Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) scores for admission to MBA (Financial Management) and MBA (Rural Management) courses. However, for the MBA (Agribusiness) course, candidates with a valid score of CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ICAR-AIEEA PG/ TISSNET can apply. Those who do not possess scores of the pre-mentioned entrance exams for the MBA in Agribusiness course can also apply via UMAT, which is also conducted by Utkal University.

Candidates must note that there is no other provision for admission to the MBA programmes.
