Eligibility Criteria for Mass Communication
Undergraduate Courses: Candidates applying for journalism courses should have a Class 12th pass certificate in any stream from a recognized board with a 50%-60% minimum percentage. In some colleges/ universities, the minimum age limit at the time of admission is 17 years.
Postgraduate Courses: Candidates appearing for mass communication and journalism courses should have a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university or college with at least 50%-60% percentage marks in their final exams. In some institutes, the minimum age limit required at the time of admission is 23 years.

Many mass communication and journalism institutes offer undergraduate courses at fees starting from INR 60,000 to INR 2,00,000 per year. On average, the total cost of the course is nearly INR 3 lakhs (for a 3-year UG programme).
