What all courses are available to international students?
Emlyon Business School offers over 23 academic programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels of study. The college offers three General Management, seven specialised courses, 12 MSc degrees, and International MBA programmes to interested students. Additionally, Emlyon also offers short-term courses according to the following structure:
- 5 courses under MBA Diplomas (Duration: 1 to 3 months)
- 20 certification courses (Duration: 24 hours and 2 weeks)
- 13 short courses

Eligibility & Documents Required
What are the eligibility requirements?
International undergraduate aspirants need to fulfil the following requirements for the Global BBA programme at Emlyon:
- Admission to the first year: Students in the final year of their high school certificate studying for IB or ‘National Baccalauréat’ or any other equivalent certificate will be considered.
- Admission to second year: Students currently completing their first year of university (to be validated by 60 ECTS credits) or a diploma signifying one year of completed higher education may qualify for this course. The diploma should be issued by an official higher education institution.
- Admission to third year: Students currently completing their 2nd year of university (to be validated by 120 ECTS credits) or a diploma signifying two years of successful completion of higher education may qualify for this course. The diploma should be issued by an official higher education institution.
For postgraduate programmes, a validated master or bachelor’s degree equivalent in any stream - Engineering, Social Sciences, Arts, and Management is required or a Licence 3 Diploma or equivalent with (180 European credits or ECTS) a strong profile. Students should not be more than 30 years of age and a minimum of three years of work experience may be required as per course.

No specific minimum score requirements for English proficiency is mentioned for postgraduate programmes. Candidates looking to enrol in postgraduate studies at Emlyon need to submit their TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge CPE scores to be considered eligible. The application fee set by the B-school for the 2021 intake was EUR 120. It must be noted that any change in the application fee depends entirely on the school. What is the fee structure of courses offered by the university?
The tuition fee for the International MBA programme at Emlyon is EUR 38,500, while the MS programme costs around EUR 17,500. For those interested in pursuing BBA from Emlyon, the tuition fee is as follows:
- First-year admission: EUR 11,500 per year
- Second-year admission: EUR 12,500 per year
- Third-year admission: EUR 13,000 per year
The minimum tuition fee for the PG programme–EUR 17,500–is for the MSc in Management–Grande Ecole Programme, while the maximum amount–EUR 38,500–is for the International MBA programme.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?
Yes, there are over 50 scholarships offered to students across different programmes at Emlyon Business School. Given below is a list of a few scholarships at the UG and PG levels:
- EIFFEL Scholarship: This scholarship aims to award international students whose outstanding ability has been recognised by French higher education institutions. Applicable only to PhD and master’s students, the institution must apply on behalf of a student. The amount awarded to master’s students is EUR 1,181 and to PhD students is EUR 1,400.
- Excellence Scholarship: A scholarship offered only to international students, it provides a 20% waiver on the tuition fee to students who become the first participants from each nationality. It is provided to promote a diverse learning environment.
- First Nationality Scholarship: Among the unique scholarships offered to foreign students, this one provides a 20% waiver on the tuition fee to students who are first participants from each nationality. It is provided to ensure a diverse learning environment.
- Executive Woman Scholarship: In a bid to encourage more female-led participation in its master’s programmes in Business and Management Sciences, Emlyon offers a 20% scholarship to female candidates applying to its International MBA programme.
- Early Bird Scholarship: The Early Bird scholarship offers a 20% scholarship to each student enrolling before December-end for the next intake.
- Erasmus+ Mobility Scholarship: This is a European Union-focused program that supports the world’s best students during their education in France for a period of 1 or 2 years. The monthly scholarship amount depends on the country of mobility.

When do the admissions start?
You can enrol in the Global BBA programme at Emlyon in any one of these sister campuses: Casablanca campus, Shanghai campus, or the Saint-Etienne campus. What is the application process?
International applicants can apply to the university directly via the online application form present on course pages. Each programme and course has a different application form which can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Apply’ button on the respective course pages.
When will I hear from the university after I submit my application?
While no specific dates are given by the university, the review cycle depends on the course you have opted for, and it can take several days or weeks to receive confirmation. Emlyon Business School has an acceptance rate of 40% making it a selective b-school. As per the MBA programme brochure, a digital test will be conducted along with an interview to ascertain a student’s candidature. Selection for the Global BBA programme is also competitive. Applicants are first evaluated on the content and quality of their high school course work, grades, and English proficiency. After successfully submitting the online application, students need to take the online admission test. This last examination is made of tests and a setting of fictitious situations to evaluate a candidate’s organizational, strategic and relational skills. Yes, Emlyon Business School offers students opportunities to work through its work-study programmes and part-time work opportunities. As of now, three programmes offer specific part-time work opportunities, which are:

Situated in a six-hectare property just 25 minutes away from Lyon’s city center, the main campus of Emlyon Business School covers an area of 30,000m². The school has a total of seven campuses across continents, including the main campus at Lyon and a new campus that will open in Mumbai, India in 2021. With this expansion in Mumbai, the school will become the first French business school in India's economic capital. It school also plans to expand in Latin America in the coming years.
