Amity Singapore offers more than 50 courses across various disciplines such as Business and Management, Information Technology, Hospitality and Tourism, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Supply Chain Management, Language, and Law. What are the eligibility requirements?
The eligibility requirements that international students must meet to seek entry to the various graduate and undergraduate courses of Amity Global Institute are programme-specific. Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies Eligibility —
International students who have cleared the Singapore-Cambridge GCE-A level Exam meeting any of the criteria mentioned below can enrol in Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies:
- Formal education of 12 years from a recognized university or college
- IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma received from IBO
- Polytechnic diploma degree in relevant field
Standardised Exams: A good score in IELTS Academic or TOEFL is required for those students who did not have English as the medium of studies during their high school years. Students with good scores in SAT or ACT can also apply for this programme.
Master in Business Administration Eligibility —
International students who wish to seek entry to this course must hold an honours degree from a British University or any other equivalent university of at least second class. The applicants need not have prior experience in management, but they should showcase a passion or interest in studying concepts related to business and management at the selection stage. Applicants with professional experience may use it as a booster while applying to this programme.
Standardised Exams: A student whose native language is not English should provide evidence suggesting his/her proficiency in the English language through IELTS, TOEFL, or any equivalent English language test approved by Amity Global Business School. Applicants with good GMAT or GRE scores have higher chances to get into this programme.

What are the documents needed for the application?

Bachelor-Level Programmes

Application & Tuition Fees
Is there an application fee?
An application fee of SGD 374.50 is to be paid by all international students through cheque, TT (Telegraphic Transfer), or online transfer. The application fee is payable only after a student’s application is accepted at the university.

Scholarships & Financial Aid
Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for Indian/international students?
Students can apply for scholarships by emailing info@singapore.amity.edu. The applications are assessed purely based on the academic excellence of the students. Upon selection, students are awarded the Amity Scholarship offering a tuition fee reduction. The eligibility terms and conditions for a scholarship are explained below:
- Only freshman applicants who have paid their application fees are eligible for the scholarship
- Students must secure Grade B or higher, an academic average of 6.5 out of 10 or higher, or any other equivalent in their high school exam or degree to be eligible
- Undergraduate and graduate students who secure an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship
- Students should use the standard application form to apply for the scholarship
- Students need to appear for an interview, where the panellists will decide if the scholarship should be awarded based on an applicant’s ambitions, general attitude, personality, and other aspects

Admission Process
When do the admissions start?
International students must submit their application at least three weeks before the programme starts. The tentative intake deadlines of different courses with their corresponding universities are mentioned below:

How do I start my application?
To apply to Amity Global Institute, international students first need to confirm their eligibility and then fill the online application form. They need to submit their documents and pay the application fees only after their application has been selected.
After getting selected, students will receive an offer letter, an advisory note, a handbook, and a student acknowledgement letter. The university will thoroughly verify the documents and immigration status of international students via their SOLAR portal and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. After verification, students will receive the final approval letter from the university.
Foundation Programmes
Students who do not meet specific course requirements can enroll in the Foundation Diploma or Foundation Programme For Higher Education offered by the university. Those who do not have the required English language test scores can enroll in any of the English proficiency programmes that the university provides. The eligibility requirements of the foundation and English programmes are different. Interested students can refer to the university’s website for more details on these programmes.
What are the steps to the application process?
The application process is the same for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Amity Global Institute. The following steps need to be followed while applying for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes:
Step 1: Visit Amity’s application portal at www.amitysingapore.sg/apply-now/ and select the category and enter certain personal details.
Step 2: Now, students need to enter the programme name in which they seek enrollment. They must also mention the source from where they came to know about the university. After that, they can enter their academic credentials, awards and achievements, and an undertaking on conduct.
Step 3: Now, students will be asked to provide their English language test scores and employment history. They will also need to provide a personal statement and contact details, which the university can use in emergencies.
Step 4: Now, students can use the ‘Checklist’ to check whether they have provided all the necessary details. After that, they will be required to tick the checkboxes to provide their consent and complete waiver and indemnity formalities.
Step 5: International students will need to provide additional consent to certain terms and conditions. Using the pre-counselling form, students can tick the checkboxes, ‘Yes’ for the items applicable to them and ‘NA’ for the items not applicable to them.
Step 6: Finally, students have to digitally sign the final declaration form and read the confidentiality clause before submitting their online application.

When will I hear from the university after I submit my application?
The Amity Global Institute responds to an international application quickly once the application form has been duly filled by an applicant. If the student receives an offer letter and accepts it, his/her application will be processed further by the SOLAR (Student’s Pass Online Application and Registration) portal and Checkpoint Authority, Singapore. After that, the student will get a registration acknowledgement to complete his student pass application.
Once the student completes the form and submits the necessary documents along with the application fee, he might have to take an entrance exam. The results of the exam are usually released within a month after the exam date. Students can appeal against the results, and such results may be declared within 3 or 4 weeks after the release of the initial results. Students can also apply for a retest within 1 week after the results are declared.
Student Diversity & Preferred Profile
What are the chances of getting into this university?
The chances of getting enrolled in the Amity Global Institute, Singapore, depends on the programme in which the students wish to enrol. For instance, for admission to the MBA programme, students need to secure at least a second-class honours degree from the British University or any equivalent educational institute.
Also, students from non-English speaking countries must demonstrate English proficiency by clearing IELTS or any English language test with the minimum expected scores. Although it is not compulsory for students to come from a business and management background, they must showcase their strong will and desire to study and excel in this field during the selection process.
The other factors based on which the selection to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Amity Global Business School may be determined are given below:

Can I work while studying here?

Working Hours
Students need to follow the working hour limitations prescribed for foreign students in that particular country. Generally, a student can work up to 20 hours every week during a study term, and this limit can be extended up to 40 hours during vacations or summer/winter holidays.

How many colleges and campuses does the university have?
The main campus of Amity Global Business School is located within the Orchard Road precinct of Singapore. It is also known as Amity Campus and comprises around 17 classrooms of different capacities. This campus is also known as Tanglin Campus. The City Campus is another campus situated inside the National Library Building. Therefore, it is also known as the NLB Campus.

Is on-campus housing available? How much does it cost?
Students can seek accommodation in several hostels inside the main campus. Many recreational centres, sports facilities, and other services are available to international students who prefer on-campus accommodation facilities.
Requirements
International students need to carry at least SGD 1,700 to take care of their accommodation and other expenses for at least two weeks during their initial stay on campus. International students who need accommodation assistance can request such assistance before arrival. They can directly connect with the hostels and housing agents to secure accommodation according to their requirements.
