American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo operates under a charter granted by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) which registers the university's degree programs. The university started offering undergraduate and graduate academic programs at AUB Mediterraneo in fall of 2023.

The early admission deadline for fall 2024 is October 31, 2023 (​extended until December 20, 2023) and for regular admission, the deadline is December 20, 2023 (​extended until March 31, 2024).
All students accepted for fall 2024 will receive 20% to 80% in scholarships for the duration of study. Students who apply for early admission (non-binding, no application fee) in fall 2024 and meet the early admission criteria will be admitted with a minimum of 50% scholarship support (for the duration of study).

Five four-year undergraduate degree programs being offered are - Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, and Bachelor of Business Administration in Management​.
Eligibility to apply for UG programs: Those who have completed one of these programs - High school, IGCSE (O Levels), IB Certificate or any other school, leaving certificate, Lebanese Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, Syrian Baccalaureate, Jordanian Tawjihi, German Abitur, Official Government Secondary School Leaving Certificate, and Full IB Diploma or IGCSE/GCE​ can apply for the UG programs.
How to apply: Prospective students must submit an undergraduate first-year application with the following documents:

- High school transcript for grades 10 and 11 or their equivalent
- An entrance exam, which can be any one of the exams listed below:
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): The test can be taken several times. Students can take advantage of “superscoring" (i.e., taking the highest score for each section (Math or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing).
- American College Testing (ACT): It can be taken several times. Students can benefit from “superscoring" (i.e., taking the highest score for each section (English, Reading, Mathematics, or Science).
- International AS-level exam: 3 AS levels: Mathematics (Math or Math - Further) and 2 non-language subjects.
- Cypriot Lyceum B Class standardized exam: 2 subjects, one in Math (Basic or Advanced) and 1 non-language subject.

"All students accepted for fall 2024 will receive a minimum 20% scholarship for the duration of their studies. Applicants to the MS in Business Analytics and MS in Engineering Management graduate programs are requested to complete this application form one time only. Kindly use a personal email address and make sure to use the same email address in all your application-related communications and form submissions (including applications for financial assistance)," said the official statement.
The application submission deadline: Fall 2024 (with classes starting at the end of August 2024) is March 14, 2024 (​extended until April 30, 2024).
The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo is offering two graduate programs including a Master of Science in Engineering Management and Master of Science in Business Analytics.
Documents required from admission are - Official transcripts from all institutions previously attended providing a complete record of study, two recommendation letters, English language requirement (upon admission and prior to matriculation), and Statement of purpose.
