Q. What did you choose France for your studies?
AA: I chose France because of the good mix of different cultural people and France has a long history with a beautiful old heritage which has been preserved over the period. And, because it has been more open to people from different backgrounds for a long time now. Read: Benefits of Studying in France for Indian Students
Q. Please share your journey while applying abroad.
AA: I started my counselling from Shiksha once I had decided that I am going abroad for further studies. The process was a long thoughtful one and the Shiksha team made it clear to me step by step to decide what would be better for my future since my background was in Engineering and how would it help me to take a course which would benefit me in all ways. After finalising France, it was among 4-5 universities that I applied and then Montpellier Business School (MBS) in France was the most suitable considering it was a student city. Also compared to different cities it was more budget-friendly too.

Q. Please share a typical day at MBS.
AA: A typical day at MBS starts with travelling to MBS by tram with more than half the people travelling in the tram being from MBS for the courses in the morning at 9. Getting a coffee and a Pain au chocolat first thing at MBS. Seeing a lot of familiar faces and then over the day going to different courses which are taught by a diverse team of professors. An intense day of discussions and work on the specific course. Lunch at 12:30 can be taken from the food truck or the cafeteria. Then having courses in the afternoon, ending the day at 5 or 6 while making plans with different friends from different courses for the night or for the week.
Q. What do you enjoy the most in Montpellier and at MBS?
AA: The one thing that I enjoy at Montpellier the most is the way of life, when you have people the same age as you around the whole city the vibe is different. From the people serving you in a bar or restaurant to the people in the club are all students. It feels like one huge family.
The thing that I enjoy the most at MBS is the exposure I get here to people from different backgrounds and the diverse environment which makes it different from a usual place. Also, the courses for me personally have been really a learning curve which has helped me open my mind more and has added to my knowledge more.
Q. One tip you would like to share with students who consider studying in France?
AA: Time management and managing your money are the tips I would like to share with students considering studying in France as there are a lot of things of interest but giving it the right amount of time is important and also keeping an eye on the money that is being spent because in no time the bank balance goes to 0 if not taken care off.
