History
The Coast Mountain College was established in 1975 in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. The college offers five campuses. With an initiative to make educational offerings more relevant, the college initiated a long-term process to address the existing disconnect between the colleges, the Indigenous students, and communities. The construction of the college began in 1965 and officially opened its doors in September 1968 and initially started with an enrollment of around 295 students. The college was renamed from Northwest Community College to Coast Mountain College in June, 2018.
