About Saskatchewan Polytechnic
In 1959, the Mosse Jaw Campus was called the Saskatchewan Technical Institute. In 1963, the campus at Saskatoon had begun as the Central Saskatchewan Technical Institute. In 1972, the present campus at Regina was called the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences. In 1986, Prince Albert was home to the Northern Institute of Technology. The Institute Act and the Regional Colleges Act brought together all the institutes to form the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology which came to be known as Saskatchewan Polytechnic on 24 September 2014.
