Master of Computer Science - Batch of 2024
4.4
Diversity in terms of people and experiences.
Tips: Before joining, students should research programs, campus resources, and opportunities for involvement. Transitioning here involved adapting to a diverse culture and urban setting. Scholarships are also available to qualified students based on their academic merit. Amazing student life on-campus.
Likes (Student Life): The university offers a diverse student life with engaging events and clubs. Its urban campus fosters academic growth and vibrant community connections. There are varieties of student clubs that include almost every available field. The college is situated in the downtown is a main advantage
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The current job market is bad and it has nothing specific to do with the university. Common roles include software engineer and data analyst. However, I am not sure about specific data related to how many company offers roles and the salary package.

Get ready to work hard for your course at computer science in cleveland state university.
Tips: Crime rate is high in the Cleveland area. The cold weather can be very harsh with temperatures going upto -2C. There are a fair number of Indian students, finding off-campus housing and roommates is very easy. Getting Indian groceries is also easy. Get ready to work hard for your course and living expenses.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Racist faculty. Chinese professors tend to make course difficult for no reason. People have failed courses even after graduation. CS department is not flexible compared to other departments. Getting an academic dismissal/ probation and transferring out to other universities is very common.

Not so good university to pursue your career.
Tips: Please research about the career near this university. They don't offer any scholarships to students. Not very satisfied with the university because of fewer job opportunities. For Mechanical, Civil and Electrical it’s a good university but for IT it’s not.

Not a great university in my experience.
Tips: This university is not cheap as it looks. The course curriculum is not updated as per the market need. You will have more people from the south side and it feels like you are studying at some university in Hyderabad. Not a good experience overall I feel. Faculty is also not good in their field and they are also not interested in spreading the knowledge they have
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is good. Have good connectivity. You will have RTA college sticker on your college ID which you can use to have free ride across Cleveland. RTA buses are really great and they have better connectivity. Ohio especially Cleveland have better public transport.
Dislikes (Safety): Area wise not good. Many crimes are reported each and every day. You can look on the internet about the area. It is a criminal city and it's in the top 25 world crime cities. Not safe at night. Many homeless people are roaming around and asking for a dollar.

Stringent with teachers and academic policies.
Tips: Computer Science is a bit tough class for students who do not belongs to CS in their bachelor's class. Do not expect this to be fun loving university. Academic policies are exasperating and you'll spend every week studying and studying only. Plagiarism is a real heat so do not cheat.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is free and is good. You can roam around the city with your student bus pass, the bus pass is provided by the university itself and you could use it to go anywhere i.e part-time or college. It cost 40$ a month and is included in your tuition fees. The majority of Indian students use this bus pass for going to university every day.
Dislikes (Student Life): From student's perspective the quality of academic life is degrading day by day because of some stringent teachers of Computer Science. There is free public transport, so it's a good thing. This is not so expensive city, with rent and food compared to other cities in the US. A large number of Indian population is here.

Good college but financially little costly for money spent here
Tips: I was acclimated to the US culture because I had friends studying here already. You can attain scholarships if you maintain a good gpa in the first semester of around 3500$ per semester and it would go up to 6000$ per semester. If someone gets an assistantship they could get up to 10000$ scholarship.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is right in the middle of downtown. The college has a railway station within 10 min walk and has bus stops next to every building. The campus has a security escort service at night if there is an emergency and is required to travel in the night when buses or trains are not available.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs on campus are very deficit. The average payout is around 10$/hr. Jobs are usually available on handshake to apply and aramark website to apply. The usual working hours are around 20 hrs per week and the weekly payout is 800$/week. The jobs are usually hard to get due to low availability.

Excellent university for academics and sports facility
Tips: Fees is expensive to be honest, so arrange sufficient funds before joining. Most students just fake expenses proof during their visa and travel here then face difficulty managing fees and expenses. Fees should be reduce by university finance team and members.
Likes (Public transportation): Good transport facilities in downtown city. Buses are available on routes towards the university and grocery store. Students are given free bus rides on id cards. Only one small issue is that sometimes buses cancel and we won't even know and foolishly we stand for a long time.
Dislikes (Internships): University does not help by providing internships. We have to search on our own. This is a difficult part for students to network on their own through LinkedIn or other websites. Biggest negative point for students at this university is Cleveland state university.

A great college with lots of opportunities.
Tips: While applying to this university, you are by default eligible for the NAMU scholarship. If you are awarded any, then it will be mentioned in your offer letter. As far as I know, most people who scored above 9.0 CGPA received a scholarship. Other than that, the courses are diverse and you get to choose from a ton of courses from great professors. One thing is at the end of each semester, you'll need to hustle to grab your desired classes as the demand is huge. Overall, I am quite satisfied with mu experiences.
Likes (Public transportation): Most public transport is free of cost and bus availability is also pretty good with every bus within 15 minutes interval. The paid ones are also quite affordable with only $2 for any distance you travel. The buses even have a cycle track so you can loads your cycle whenever you are tired.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook at home because very few Indian restaurants serve authentic Indian food. Even when I request spicy food, the restaurants tend to make it sweet. Also, it is difficult to find Indian ingredients, so it is better to bring your own when you come here.

Arizona State University gives all you want - great faculty and strong academics.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know they can apply for part-time or on-campus jobs from India before coming to the US. They should also contact as many professors as possible for grading, teaching assistant, or research assistant positions. If students have a CGPA of 9.0 or higher, they may be eligible for the NAMU scholarship. Finally, students shouldn't be concerned about a cultural shift, as there are many Indian students and organizations on campus.
Likes (Student Life): There are so many Indian Masters students with whom we can enjoy. There are many Asian student clubs where various events are conducted, like Diwali and Ganpati celebrations. I used to participate in all Indian events. Don't miss the food here, as it is usually amazing.
Dislikes (Safety): There are some robbery issues near campus, but I didn't have any experience. There is an alarm-based app and mail system that will notify students and faculty if any dangerous issues occur. Other than that, the police here are really helpful and always available.

Arizona State University- where one shape future.
Tips: When I first came to this university, I was not comfortable with the cultural shift. It was a bit of a shock at first, but I gradually got used to it. I did not receive a scholarship, but I am satisfied with my course and the university. There are very few companies that offer visa sponsorship. Also, all job roles are offered in the United States with an average package of at least 60K USD for a Data Analyst position, and around 80K USD minimum for a Software Engineer position.
Likes (Student Life): I spend most of my day studying at home, but many students spend their time on campus in the libraries. The libraries are well-equipped with the latest technology. There is a wide community of students at ASU, and many Indian cultural events take place on campus.

Arizona State University is number 1 in innovation.
Tips: There are some things that students should know before joining Arizona State University. First, you will probably have to live off campus unless you are an honour student. Do your research to find out what housing options are available. Also, depending on where you are from, you may experience a significant cultural shift and change in climate, especially if you are from a cold climate. Finally, there are some scholarships available for international students, but the amount may depend on your country of origin.

A good start for undergraduate experience which will open doors in future.
Tips: ASU is a good start for undergraduate studies, particularly because of the range of opportunities it offers. The cultural shift when moving to a new environment is always significant, but the people here are incredibly welcoming, which made the adjustment much easier. ASU has a NAMU scholarship for international students and the amount can vary according to your application, marks and resume. There are over 1000 clubs that one can join and get introduced to new activities. The professors are really good here lot of them are more big IVY League colleges too.

Proactive opportunities in Arizona's head.
Tips: It is really hot here in Arizona, so be prepared for that. Don't expect anyone to call you for a part-time job or internship but you will need to actively seek out opportunities. There are plenty of clubs and activities at the university, so make sure to take advantage of them.
Likes (Part time work): Plenty of part-time jobs are available compared to the other universities. There are jobs in dining as well. The payout depends upon the type of part-time job. They are bound to pay minimum wage to states. If you do well in class, lots of opportunities are provided by proof as well.

The faculty is amazing and learnt a lot in the process.
Tips: Students should take advantage of the university and explore as much as they possibly can. There's a world of opportunity out here if you're driven here and you should utilise the resources given to you while being an active part of the student community as well such as through sports or clubs and societies.
Dislikes (Internships): There are limited internships available, especially in the field I am pursuing and the college has a limited number of openings as well which further complicates finding a good opportunity with a reasonable stipend.
