The cost of living is high and part-time job pay system is messed up.
Tips: This is a very costly college and they are very strict about academics. You have to spend at least 50-60L for graduation here. Apart from that, it is a fine college. The neighbourhood is very costly, with high competition for part-time jobs. 80% of the time you can't speak English.
Likes (Indian Food): I like the pizza on campus. It is delicious and affordable. There's also some sushi, but that's about it for food options on campus. There are some nice restaurants in Jersey City, but most of them are Gujarati, so the food is bland or sweet. Good south Indian food is hard to come by.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The college doesn't have many on-campus recruitment opportunities. After graduation, you're on your own to find a job. Newark and New Jersey are places where you can find work, but there's a lot of competition for part-time jobs. The areas are expensive, and the college is expensive.

Overall this college is a good choice.
Tips: Before joining one should check how financially strong they are and also depends on one's area of interest and aim in their life. But on overall basis it is the best college. People nearby are mostly Indians and especially from Telugu states hence it will be good choice for women if they are having any safety concerns.

Good college to study and have fun and a bit expensive at the same time.
Tips: Since the cost of living and fee is a bit higher, it is better to have any graduate assistantship before coming here. You need to contact the professors for that. Initially, we may not get the replies. But mailing them frequently could get us an assistantship with which the full fee is waived off.
Likes (Part time work): There is a good chance for students to get part time jobs here. Most of the students have an on campus job. Most of the students get the assistantships because the funding of the college is pretty good. There is a good chance to get a part time job in any of the departments.
Dislikes (Public transportation): There is option of buses. We do have an app to track them but the number of buses are less. We do not know when they come and the route is very limited. The public transport is limited only to the town. So, you need to get a cab or take a car for rent to go out of the town.

It is a good university but you’ll find better options at this cost.
Tips: There are assistantships available in the college. Make sure to apply all of the assistantships before coming to the college and email the professors to get the Assistantship. Do a full review on the colleges you want admission in. Then try choosing from them. Do not choose Msu blindly.
Likes (Safety): I’ve never seen a safer place than this because as it is a small city. There is not a huge population, and everywhere you go, you’ll find students from Mississippi state university. There’ll be cop cars all the time. You’ll feel safe even while roaming in the midnight.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Starkville is more like a village than city. There’ll be far less restaurants here. Among them finding an Indian one is impossible. There is a restaurant with Indian cuisine but it is not worth the money. Cooking Indian stuff is the better option but you can’t find Indian stores in 20 miles surroundings.
