The people are very fun loving and helpful. Campus is great and beautiful.
Tips: There is a cultural shift here but there are many Indians around so you won't feel homesick. People are always ready to help you. The scholarship was not there for me since I didn't apply earlier. But there are scholarship options for this university can check in the University of Galway portals for further information. The university overall is really great and beautiful.

A rewarding academic and cultural experience.
Tips: Students planning to join the University of Galway should familiarize themselves with the range of programs, particularly in fields like science, business, and the arts, as well as the cost of living and tuition. Transitioning to the University of Galway comes with its challenges but is largely rewarding. The academic focus on independent learning and research requires adaptation, but the multicultural environment, student societies, and Galway's friendly atmosphere ease the process. Adjusting to the weather, food, and communication style may take time, but the city's warmth and cultural vibrancy help students feel at home. Scholarship opportunities at Galway are abundant, and many students benefit from merit-based or need-based funding. The application typically involves submitting academic records, a personal statement, and recommendation letters. Scholarships often cover part of the tuition fees, offering significant financial relief. Overall, the experience at the University of Galway is highly fulfilling. The well-structured courses, knowledgeable faculty, and hands-on learning opportunities align with students' academic and career goals.

Friendly people, good career support, good extra-curricular opportunities.
Tips: The people are friendly and helpful, and there's always something happening on campus. There are many opportunities for extracurricular activities, such as sports, societies, and volunteering. The university provides personalized career support and holds many career fairs and workshops throughout the year. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course. university and the country.
Likes (Safety): The university and city authorities take safety seriously and have measures in place to ensure safety for all genders. I walked around the city freely even late at night. There are also seminars to educate students about safety measures.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The university provides career support. They held career workshops and fairs throughout the year to help students prepare for their post-study jobs. These events included CV preparation, mock interviews, and information about the Irish job market. However, the competition for jobs is fierce, so you have to work hard and be patient.

Galway: A magical experience.
Tips: A lot of changes have happened to me after coming to Galway. Right from my personality to my thinking perspective. The culture of Galway is very welcoming and friendly. In the case of scholarships, I didn't receive any, but there are schemes available for which students can apply. Ireland is a very beautiful country and as Galway is its cultural capital, many fests take place now and then.
Likes (Internships): The University of Galway has a website and sends weekly emails that list internship opportunities. Students can easily apply to these opportunities. There are many internship options available in every field. In addition, the university hosts career fairs where students can meet with representatives from their preferred companies.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus jobs are like IT help desk and library assistant. Off-campus jobs are more varied and depend on your field of interest. If you manage your time well, you can have a part-time job and still keep up with your studies. The average pay for part-time work is around 12-13 euros.

University of Galway is a great place to pursue good education.
Tips: I felt happy and excited when I first arrived at the University of Galway. I was looking forward to exploring the whole Irish culture. The university is stunning, and the faculty members and students are wonderful. But what impressed me was the education system. It is so much better than the system in India. The education system in Ireland is more holistic. It emphasises critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and it encourages students to think for themselves. The professors are always available to answer questions, and they care about their students. I am enjoying my time at the University of Galway and know I will graduate with a great education. I am very much satisfied with the course, university and the country.

Great university to study with great faculty and supportive friends.
Tips: The University of Galway is a great university to study in. However, students must be prepared to face the Irish weather, cook for themselves, and juggle part-time jobs with academic life. Everything here is expensive compared to India, so students should account for this when budgeting. The university itself is really good, although it can be stressful at times with all the assignment deadlines. However, with proper time management and hard work, it is possible to succeed. The faculty are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and understanding and you can reach out to them if you have any doubts or issues. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

University of Galway hosts numerous career fairs, seminars and activities.
Tips: Honesty I did not experience a cultural shift kind of situation. The University of Galway is an amazing place and I am happy with the place. My course is very informative and I am enjoying it. Ireland is an amazing place and the people here are very friendly and helpful.
Likes (Student Life): I usually spend my day attending classes or most of the time I will be in the lab. Many events like cultural festival events and Science fairs will be conducted at the university. I usually participate in many Indian festivals like Diwali. I even participate in some science fairs or any events conducted by technical clubs.
Dislikes (Safety): The faculty are very friendly and cooperative. The teaching is very good, and the professors are very friendly and supportive. The lab equipment is wonderful. The teachers are very diverse, with professors from all over the world, and they are excellent at their work.

The university is a great choice for academics. The faculty are experience and highly knowledgeable.
Tips: There's a lot of diversity in this university, as students from different places come here to study. Respecting everyone's culture is preferable advice. The college is really good about academic education, and the faculty is great, with nice modules in the courses of study. Most students prefer to work part-time jobs to sort expenses for the month easily. The availability of part-time jobs is quite good, and there are many different types of part-time jobs that you can get easily. You just have to ask the owner. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook at home because it saves money. There are a lot of Indian restaurants here, but they don't serve food that is as good as what you can cook at home. Also, they charge a lot for Indian food.

University of Galway has a great environment and a friendly atmosphere.
Tips: Accommodation details need to be verified before coming here. You have to book first by joining several accommodation groups. Or else you have to meet some senior people and have to refer to some accommodation details. Also, verify it once by viewing it before paying any advance money.
Likes (Internships): We have to find internships on our own by applying at various sites. Some of the internships will be organised by the university and some have to be researched by us. Internships are good options to earn better than part-time jobs here in Ireland. Also, it adds good experience to my personal portfolio.
Dislikes (Part time work): I found it easy to find a part-time job that I could easily manage alongside my studies. The average hourly rate is 12.70 Euros, and you can work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during holidays.

University of Galway is great for students to explore and socialise and make connections.
Tips: Amazing university located on 300 acres of land. There are a huge number of Indian communities over here. You will never miss your home as the students are very much helpful. Each and every festival is celebrated at its best. Feeling amazing to stay at Galway and that too in the top university globally.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I'm just glad that I got admission to the University of Galway. There's always something to do, whether it's going to a college event or just walking around town. It is a happing place specially made for students and the nightlife on the streets of Galway is amazing.
Dislikes (Value for money): The faculty at this college is excellent, and they don't spoon-feed you at all. It's hard at first, but you get used to it and start to enjoy the education. The PPTs make it easy for every student to understand the material.

The university is beautiful and provides great facilities.
Tips: I'm just glad that I got admission to this university. The cost of tuition is worth it. The large Indian community here celebrates our festivals, and it's a great opportunity to explore a foreign country. Also, there are a lot of job opportunities here with good salaries. I'm really enjoying my time here.
Likes (Value for money): The campus size and facilities are outstanding, and the library and pods for self-study are great. The career guidance is the best part of this university, and it's worth spending a huge amount of money on education in Ireland.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The education system in India is very different from that in Europe. In India, we are used to being spoon-fed information. But in Europe, it's all about self-study. So it's difficult for Indian students to adjust to the European education system.

This university is a great choice for students who want to focus on academics.
Tips: It is really difficult to find off-campus accommodation. The university is easygoing, and there are many events happening on campus, so overall it's good. However, I searched for a part-time job for about 30 days before I found one.
Likes (Indian Food): I am from India and love spicy food. Europe is not known for its spicy food, so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find the spices I like. But I was wrong. There are many Asian and Indian stores where you can find the ingredients you are looking for.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The place where I am living right now is Moycullen which is 10km away from the university and there is only 1 bus from Moycullen to the city centre and the frequency is too low. It is one bus every 3 hours so most of the time you have to adjust yourself according to the bus timetable.

The campus is very diverse and career oriented.
Tips: Before joining, students should have some experience related to the field they are choosing. I didn't get any scholarships, but they are available on a merit basis. There are very few part-time jobs for freshers, so experience in your field is a must. You'll also find a significant cultural shift here. Overall, I'm satisfied with my course, university, and country.
Likes (Public transportation): There are buses which are 10-15 minutes apart from each other. As the campus is in the middle of the city, you will find each bus taking you to the university bus stop. If you are living far away, you can avail train journey too. Also, if you have your student card, your bus ticket gets reduced by 60%.
Dislikes (Value for money): When you arrive at college, you get to know that it's pretty hard to find part-time jobs as everyone is searching for the same and the city is pretty small for so many people to have part-time jobs. The same can be said the case when you complete your graduation too.

Diverse experiences and meaningful engagements.
Tips: My experience at the college was personally enriching, with a good balance of learning and cultural exposure. Galway, a beautiful town close to many tourist attractions, provided a serene and inspiring environment for my studies. The college offered a diverse intercultural mix, enhancing my global perspective. However, it's worth noting that most part-time and full-time job opportunities are concentrated in Dublin. Additionally, the college did not provide any scholarships, but overall, I was satisfied with the quality of my education and my experience.
Likes (Student Life): I attended all classes, spent time in the library, and actively participated in societies like Business Analysis and Sports. Vibrant events like Diwali and Halloween were highlights, fostering cultural connections. I enjoyed seminars, workshops, and student clubs, which offered learning and networking opportunities, making college life-enriching and memorable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Galway, being a popular tourist destination, boasts a variety of restaurants and pubs catering to diverse tastes and preferences. However, I prefer cooking at home as Indian food in restaurants is quite expensive, starting at 10 per dish, and often lacks the authentic taste I'm used to. Homemade meals are not only more economical but also more satisfying.

University of Galway has great academics and faculty.
Tips: Before joining, students need to know that the Masters programme is extensive. You need to be well prepared before classes and listen well. I have seen other students suffer because of the accent, if that is something that might bother you please consider that, the cold is a bit too much so be prepared for the weather.
Likes (Post study jobs): They have a bunch of campus jobs for part-time as well as outside in the city. The part-time jobs are great and help you learn about multitasking and how to manage your time efficiently.
Dislikes (Safety): We have an app to contact security if in trouble. The security is very prompt in helping you and the campus is pretty safe haven't seen a single incident here regarding the security of the students. The city is also very safe and you can be around at whatever time and you'll be fine.

The University of Galway is amazing and the campus is well connected.
Tips: The university is great, the people are very polite and helpful, and the course is amazing. My only concern is that the job market is performing poorly, and I'm worried about getting a job after graduation. I didn't apply for any scholarships because I applied very late. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience at the University of Galway.
Likes (Safety): CCTV cameras are provided at many locations on campus. There is also a dedicated campus security team and emergency contact services. The university also organizes workshops on personal safety and security both on and off campus and the protocols to be followed in each situation.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The University of Galway campus is well connected by bus routes that stop at many locations. The nearest major attraction is Eyre Square, which is easily accessible by bus or a 2.5-kilometer walk. Public transportation is affordable but not very reliable.

The university is nice but experience may widely depend on the course you take.
Tips: The University of Limerick offers plenty of opportunities for students to grow and experience international life. However, most of the courses are only one year long, and the content is very condensed. This makes for a lot of stress, as students try to cover a huge amount of material in a short amount of time. Additionally, living on campus is expensive.
Likes (Safety): The University of Limerick has good safety measures on campus, and the public is generally safe. There is no violence or evident racism, but kids of a certain age outside the university can be troublesome. Otherwise, I felt safe almost everywhere I went.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The University of Limerick offers very nice job opportunities, but mostly for experienced people in certain domains. They accept only 30% of immigrants in corporations, and it is difficult to get my resume shortlisted. The long interview processes in general do not prefer students holding stamp 2 or stamp 1G visas.

Thriving campus life and supportive community at UL.
Tips: 1. Campus Life: UL has a large, beautiful campus with modern facilities. There are plenty of places to study, hang out, and enjoy nature, like the River Shannon and Plassey Bridge.
2. Student Accommodation: There are on-campus and off-campus housing options. On-campus accommodation can fill up quickly, so apply early. Off-campus housing is also available but may need more research to find a good spot.
3. Clubs and Societies: UL has many clubs and societies for sports, hobbies, and interests. Joining them is a great way to make friends and learn new skills outside of classes.
4. Library and Study Space: The UL library is a great place for studying and research. You can also find quiet rooms or group study areas around campus.
5. Support Services: UL offers help for students, including academic support, mental health services, and career guidance. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.
6. Transport: There are buses to and from Limerick city, but many students prefer to walk or cycle around the campus. It's easy to get around UL by bike or on foot.
7. Weather: The weather can be unpredictable. Make sure to have a good raincoat and warm clothes, especially in winter.
8. International Community: UL has students from all over the world, making it a diverse place. Be open to meeting people from different cultures.
9. Work Opportunities: UL offers part-time job opportunities on campus, like in restaurants or administration, to help students earn some extra money.
10. Orientation: UL runs an orientation week for new students. This helps you get familiar with the campus, meet fellow students, and learn about services. It's a good idea to attend this.
Likes (Student Life): I rated 4 on Student Life because the University of Limerick offers a vibrant and diverse campus experience. There are plenty of activities and opportunities for students to get involved in, from sports and fitness to various clubs and societies that cater to different interests. Whether you enjoy music, drama, outdoor activities, or something more academic, there's likely a society for you. The campus itself is large and scenic, with lots of green space, the beautiful River Shannon, and modern facilities that create a welcoming environment for students. UL's student community is also very friendly and inclusive, with students from all over the world, making it easy to meet people from different backgrounds. Additional, the university organizes events throughout the year, such as cultural festivals, concerts, and social gatherings, which make student life exciting and dynamic. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score is that while there is a lot to do, some services or activities can get crowded or competitive due to high demand. Nonetheless, overall student life at UL is lively and offers a great balance of academic and social experiences.
Dislikes (Internships): I rated 3 for internships because, for masters students, the process of finding and applying for internships is primarily self-driven. You are responsible for searching for relevant opportunities, submitting applications, and going through the interview processes independent. While the university does provide some guidance, such as career fair, workshops, and resume-building sessions, the bulk of the effort fall on the student. This can be challenging, especially for international students who may not be as familiar with the local job market or hiring processes. In contrast, for Bachelors students at the University of Limerick, the internship process is more structured and supported by the university. The university Cooperative Education programme helps match students with potential employers, simplifying the process significantly. For Bachelors students, the university takes an active role in facilitating internship placements, providing a more seamless and guided experience. Overall, the internships available can be relevant to your field of study, but the level of support and ease of finding one depends largely on whether you're a Bachelors or masters student. For masters students, while there are opportunities, you must be proactive and prepared to handle the application process independent.

One of the best universities in Ireland in terms of research in English and medical devices.
Tips: Students should have some prior experience in their respective fields if they want to come to Ireland. The weather in Ireland is very unpredictable so better prepare yourself for the wind and cold weather. There are many people from India coming to Ireland so you will find some shops with Indian masala and food. The Irish culture is very warm and welcoming so you will like the people of this country. I did not get any scholarship and my classmates got a maximum of 1500 Euros as a scholarship on their total tuition fees. The University gives it to the student while applying and the criteria are the students should get at least 65% marks in their previous graduation. I'm very satisfied with the university, course and country as this country has all the necessary things that you need while staying here.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very frequent and the students here get an extra discount on these buses. You just have to get your leap card from the university. There are several buses between the university and the city centre. Majorly, bus numbers 304, 304a and 310 are buses which I usually take. For students, these buses are very cheap, hence affordable and convenient. Most of the students here purchase a bicycle from the store and use it to travel. The university also provides bicycles for certain prices. But these are very cheap as compared to other retail shops.
Dislikes (Part time work): We do get part-time opportunities on-campus in the form of Lab assistant or Teaching assistant. We also have the option to work in a campus store with different job roles. If I talk about off-campus, there are several part-time opportunities, like working in bars, stores, etc. You just have to make your part-time resume and deliver it to the store managers. We are only allowed to work for 20 hours per week, which helps us to not indulge in part-time jobs and concentrate on our studies. We get free time in the afternoon to do our studies. Average part-time jobs will get you a minimum of 12 Euros.

Good and friendly university.
Tips: The university is good, studies are more application and research-oriented, and there are a lot of assignments and projects. Overall, the course is good, and people are friendly. The weather is bad, gloomy, cold and sometimes depressing. You can find crimes happening in Limerick City, but the campus is safe.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty members are specialized in their fields and have relevant experience. They are easy to approach, and the teaching methodology is mostly research and application-oriented. Exams are less important than projects. If your course is technical, then you will be studying with mostly 95% Indian or South Asian students.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are very limited vegetarian food options available if you are planning to eat outside. And eating outside is not affordable. There are a lot of options available in terms of restaurants for eating outside, mostly non-vegetarian food. A full meal can cost at least 10 Euros.

Fun loving campus and staff, amazing infrastructure.
Tips: Before joining this college students should know that the evaluation patterns are very different from India, and it is easy to follow through for students if they're genuinely interested in the course. Dedicated preparation for classes sticking to the submission deadlines and staying away from plagiarism will help you go a long way. The faculty is warm, welcoming and helpful so reach out to them for any query. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course and college.
Likes (Student Life): The campus culture is very rich and vibrant. There are so many options for students to explore the country and have a good time. Numerous events are being organized every week to keep the students engaged, and a general sense of friendliness around the city. The student clubs range from sports to art and also cover activities like hiking, kayaking and more. Great options for students to explore sports.
Dislikes (Internships): There are only a few opportunities on campus, and those are awarded to the top performers in the course. Also, there aren't many relevant internships posted on job websites. This is a very competitive field, and it takes a lot of time to settle in. Previous work experience would be a big help.

My academic experience of thriving in a dynamic campus environment.
Tips: When I first came here, there was a bit of a transition period. Managing everything at the start was challenging, but over time, I got used to it. One cultural shift I experienced is how often people say 'Sorry' and 'Thank You' in everyday interactions, which is quite different from what I was used to back in India. Regarding scholarships, I received one that most students get after applying to the university. There wasn't much complexity in the process, it was a standard offering. I'm very satisfied with both my university and my course. The green campus is beautiful, and watching the Shannon River flow through the university is something I really enjoy. The course met my academic expectations, especially because I chose the statistical pathway to drive deeper into the mathematics behind machine learning models. My thesis collaboration with FSAI was particularly valuable, as it gave me industry-level experience.Â
Likes (Student Life): In college, I usually have 2-4 hours of classes each day. The rest of the time, I like to be in the edge computing room of the library because it has a dual monitor setup and a fast PC, which really helps me with my work. Many events are organized on campus, including celebrations for festivals like Diwali, Holi, Eid, and others. These events bring a lively atmosphere, and I enjoy participating whenever I can. As for student clubs, there are many to choose from, and I was part of the photography club, which allowed me to connect with many Irish people and build connections.Â
Dislikes (Internships): Although some guidance is available, the competition for these positions is extremely high, especially for non-EU students. The available internships tend to align well with my field of study, but companies often prioritize applicants with EU passports or Stamp 4 visas due to legal work eligibility requirements. As a result, securing an internship becomes more challenging for international students like myself despite having the necessary skills and qualifications.

Best campus life at a cost.
Tips: This particular course won't make you market-ready, so be prepared for that. Also, be ready to search for a job and if you have taken a loan then it will take at least 3-6 months after your course ends. If you are not financially strong, find a part-time job as soon as you arrive in Ireland.
Likes (Student Life): The University of Limerick has one of the largest campuses in Ireland, and it's equipped with all the facilities students need. Students can participate in various sports and activities, and the campus is a great place to live. There are even pubs on campus, like Tables and Friday Nights, which definitely enhance the quality of student life.
Dislikes (Internships): The lack of internships available through the college is a downside for the Business Analytics course. The course will make you aware of the tools and technology used in the industry, but you should be prepared with the basics of the software you will be learning. This will help you to be one step ahead.

Beautiful campus with great and friendly environment.
Tips: I have learned a lot more in core papers than I ever did during my undergraduate. The cultural shift is being kind and diligent to everyone no matter what and open to helping anyone. I didn't avail of any scholarships. I am satisfied with my university except for no internship or coop arrangements for Masters students. The country is very beautiful with nice people.
Likes (Student Life): We have two classes per day, one might be a lab class. I enjoyed the beautiful campus and thorough practical learning process. There are a lot of events organised ranging from technical to festive. The first Seven Weeks will be filled with different events and trips across Ireland. Since then, every Friday is International night, where one can network a lot.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has a careers page where you can find job postings however there are approximately zero internships. The most important downside of this university is that there are no proper internships or coop arrangements for Master's students, assuming Bachelor students have a chance.

MSc in Project Management - Batch of 2024
Offered by University of Limerick

The faculty is good but internship opportunities are very limited.
Tips: Students should try to find accommodation close to the university if searching for off-campus. and all the amenities are pretty close to the university. I also received a scholarship of 1500 Euros. I am really satisfied with the university; however, the course could use some room for more improvement.Â
Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality and facilities of everything were good including the food and classrooms. There is also a grocery store named Spare on the campus, which is convenient for people living on campus. Also, the best thing about the university is its widespread and beautiful green campus.
Dislikes (Internships): There was no assistance or involvement from the college for summer internships, even though our course included an internship for the summer. I wish there was more focus in that area as it would have been beneficial, as finding a job is already really hard, especially if you are a fresher.

MSc Data Science and Statistical Learning - Batch of 2024

A University for the Integration of everything together.
Tips: I see that the Irish people talk too fast as it takes quite a time to understand their language. Similarly, people from other native English-speaking countries talk in a certain manner so in this scenario try to make local English-speaking friends and try to talk to them as much as possible so that you will learn how to carry out a conversation. If you apply for UL it will automatically check and grant you a scholarship of 1500 Euros. I love Ireland, and I would love it more once I get a full-time job. The University is also amazing, it has a lot to do. However, I feel the course I completed didn't help me learn anything. I also feel somewhere that I won't get a job for the Data Scientist position perhaps I will get one for my previous experiences.
Likes (Student Life): UL is full of fun, more than studies you will get to see something exciting every day on the campus. It is full of events and celebrations. The Post-graduation Student Union (PSU) is my favourite part here. They keep on organizing different events every other day on campus. There is a humongous group of societies that UL offers. It has every type of society of all interests. If a student is more of an extra-curricular person I recommend them to be a part of UL.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty does not play a vital role in a student's journey here. The student has to decide their own future. No doubt the professor will always be at your back to answer any of your questions, but one should not expect spoon feeding from them. Most of the teaching methodologies here would be a combination of assignments, exams, projects, group projects, reports etc. The classes take place at the professor's convenience online or offline, some of the professors adopt a dynamic kind of teaching methodology where they only clear doubts of the students in the class and ask students to go through the notes at home. Most of the teachers here are Irish, and some of them belong to different countries such as Korea, Russia etc.

It is a home away from home with friendly people.
Tips: Be open to embracing changes. Be friendly as local people here are friendly and supportive. The professors are very experienced and will go an extra mile to support you. UL has the biggest library in Ireland and the best of labs to support you. The recreational activities are also great.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses and trains are the common modes of public transport and both are on time and very comfortable. The cost of travelling by public transport is minimal. Just make sure to get your leap card for discounted and hassle-free travel. Make sure to do at least one train journey. It’s worth it.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you search smartly then a lot of jobs are available. The university staff is very supportive. Most of the jobs are entry-level so you have to be patient to get the right job. The interview processes are straightforward and mostly online which makes it easier.

Great to redefine your career
Tips: Ireland offers many scholarships for the student which need to be applied in advance. Check for the scholarship as you move ahead with your college application. Also keep looking for job opportunities parallely as the duration of the course is less and students might get overwhelmed with all the transitions happening at the same time.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Many social societies to choose from based on the student's interest which makes students enjoy college life. Career fairs are organised to get the students' idea of which companies can be applied for. The campus is big and gives a feeling of renowned university status.
Dislikes (Internships): The faculty are really knowledgeable and teach in student friendly manner. Their approach towards students gives them more confidence in learning new subjects. Practical and theory classes have a great balance to learn the industrial needs and adapt to organizational needs accordingly.

An exciting and satisfactory journey for the students.
Tips: Scholarships will be awarded based on your education qualification and previous experience. It will be part of your application process, no extra steps to be followed. It will be around 1500 euro and I got the same when I applied for this university. In terms of course I would say it was moderate, but if you want to enjoy student life then this is the right university for you to join.
Likes (Student Life): Lively campus with lots of activities and communities to be engaged in throughout your master's. A great opportunity to develop leadership skills if you are studying any of their business courses. There are varieties of clubs or communities comprising both academics and sports to choose from and lots of events are organized every week. Friday nights are the best that I have attended.
Dislikes (Internships): Searching for internships depends entirely on your ability. No extra guidance will be provided by the university on opportunities. In my experience to date, I haven't seen more opportunities for internships, however, you will have a lot of roles to avail of once you are graduated.

This university is a good place for post graduation
Tips: You should know that the course structure is not as easy as it looks like, they have a strict policy and education structure. Assignments will be tough but very informative, you have to study by yourself and cannot depend on ppts or lecture notes. Teachers are really helpful so they will help you out for sure.
Likes (Safety): Limerick or Ireland for that matter is very safe and secure for international students. You can be out late till 4 am and it’s not dangerous at all. People are really very sweet and are always greeting you and wishing for your well being, even random Irish people will ask you if you need any help and will definitely help you out. It’s safe for women, they can roam around any time of the day, anywhere.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Cabs are really expensive and buses only run till 10 pm. So if you’re out and need to come back late you have to take a cab. There are no tramps or any other source of transportation but just cabs, and they can be really expensive even for short distances.

Post-grad student's views on the University of Limerick.
Tips: My review only stands for postgraduate students. If you're an undergrad, do look for co-op placement courses that the University of Limerick offers. Additionally, I would suggest anyone coming over to Ireland to prepare their CVs and portfolios because the deadlines for graduate programmes and career fair is way too early for any student just beginning their academic journey here. Moreover, do secure a roof over your head early on- the accommodation crisis in Ireland is real.
Likes (Safety): Castletroy, where the university is located, is one of the safest places in Limerick. Overall, I would say Limerick as a whole is a lot safer than a lot of other places in Ireland. The kids over here could be a hassle, so just try to avoid any confrontation with them.
Dislikes (Internships): The master's programme runs for a duration of 1-year. Therefore you can't find any internships during this period. Additionally, there are no tie-ups with the companies present here where you could try to get internships later after your studies. While the undergrad courses in this university have some co-op placement courses that you may be interested in.

University of Limerick is a great place to pursue third-level qualification.
Tips: The accommodation crisis is dire in Ireland and students must acknowledge this situation before arriving, and must make arrangements before-hand, as not much can be done by the university in this regard.
Also, there are various scholarships and grants that students can take advantage of, if researched and applied timely.

BA in Economics - Batch of 2025
Offered by University of Limerick
3.3
One of the best university with highly talented and knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Students should know what they are getting into before they come to this college. They should know what they are going to study and where they are going to live. The accommodation is very bad, so you need to book your accommodation before you come to college. You also need to know what you are going to study. You must know these things before you come to college.
Likes (Part time work): Part-time jobs are easily available. You can get a part-time job whenever you want, and it's very easy to get a job. They all need students for part-time jobs, and you can work here and earn good money, like 1000 per month while working 80 hours per month.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are very low because the university does not provide any internships. If you want to do an internship, you have to find one yourself. The university will only provide the title of the internship, but nothing else.

Wonderful student life experience with lots of learning.
Tips: Students should know that there is a cultural shift and that's when one grows as an individual as you come out of your comfort zone and your nation, you learn to be independent and you learn all the basic necessary life skills like cooking, cleaning etc. There is a scholarship, it depends on your profile and undergrad score. I am pleased with my time at the university as I got to learn about various things from various people from around the world.
Likes (Public transportation): There is excellent service for local and public bus transportation. There are trains as well for transportation and numerous buses connecting all major cities as well as small towns in between. Price is affordable for students with 'Student Leap Card' as it gives around 50% discount on all public transportation.
Dislikes (Internships): No such internship is available as the university doesn't have such tie-ups with companies for internship offers. Some universities in Dublin have internship tie-ups with various companies as a part of their course. Due to present market conditions, it is hard to find a job and also internship opportunities.
