The University of Melbourne provides a lot of exposure and opportunities on-campus.
Tips: I really enjoy the culture at the University of Melbourne, even though it's very different from home. I didn't get any scholarships, but the exposure to new things and the opportunities that have opened up for me are priceless. The University of Melbourne is located in the central business district, which is a safe area that is always well-lit and has people around. The university also provides safety measures, such as security guards who will walk you from class to class or to your on-campus accommodation. These measures help to ensure that you feel safe and secure while you are on campus. The classes are very large, with up to 500 students, so it's hard to get individual attention from the professors. Also, the professors are from many different countries, and some of them are not very fluent in English, which makes it hard to understand them. In addition, I find that my particular course is too math-oriented and doesn't require enough critical thinking, which is not a good fit for my personal aptitude. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

The university provides a lot of on campus events and seminars to connect and maintain connections.
Tips: The campus life is amazing and the people are so loving, very warm and welcoming to students. The exams are a bit hard, but you can push through. There are so many parties, functions, and other activities. Plus, you get free food almost every day. There are few on-campus jobs. However, a good number of off-campus jobs are available if you look for them the right way. Part-time work is manageable if you are a good student. The average pay is minimum wage, which is 24 dollars per hour if you are 21 or older, and 19, 20, and 21 dollars if you are 18, 19, and 20, respectively. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Migration is not a fairytale.
Tips: There are multiple things people need to understand before going to a different country. It is not a fairytale. Students work like labourers here, especially at the University of Melbourne. The curriculum is hard, compared to other universities. If you want a job you will need references. I'm a government-sponsored student, I was awarded a 100% scholarship from the Maharashtra government. You can find more details on the sjsa.com website. To avail of this scholarship you should have a family income lower than 6 Lacs per annum, almost above 90% in graduation degree and should be SC caste. Overall University of Melbourne puts a lot of pressure on students, Infrastructure and teachers are good, but student support for career guidance could be improved. On a scale of 1-5, I will give 2.5 for university satisfaction. I will highly advise not to take any management course in any of the unis in Australia as it has no PR or job security. 1 for course satisfaction. Australia as a country is extremely good, clean, friendly people,
Likes (Safety): The University of Melbourne is extremely safe, and there is an extremely low crime rate in the city. This is not particular to this university; every reputed university in Australia is safe. There are security people roaming around the city, and there is no gun culture in the entire country.
Dislikes (Value for money): The courses are extremely expensive and provide very low ROI. Job opportunities are very limited, and it is extremely difficult to find a job or internship. Even people with 10 years of experience in management can't find jobs.

Tips: The university offers grants and scholarships. Students should check them out. Stores here close by 5 pm and most cafes by 3 pm, so if you are not an early riser, you need to change that. I am quite satisfied as the university teaches me and also makes me research to gain better insights.
Likes (Student Life): The university does provide a lot of events and activities on campus to keep the students engaged. There are networking sessions, games, and free food. There are so many clubs to join and engage in their activities. I participate once a week in an activity. The clubs are from cultural, academic as well as hobby backgrounds.
Dislikes (Part time work): The University has not provided us with much options for part-time. Students mostly seek part-time jobs outside. It is quite manageable if you keep your classes for 3 days and work 3 days. You can balance work and studies. The average payout for part-time work is Aud 450 per week.

A very homely and wholesome experience.
Tips: It's one of the most livable cities in the world, and it's very student-oriented, which makes it easy to make friends. The university itself has a QS ranking of 13, which makes it the best university in Melbourne, and definitely one of the best in the world. I recommend that you try to make friends in each class you have. If you're an introvert, there are lots of activities that don't require you to mingle with people so much. I'm very satisfied with my experience at the University of Melbourne.
Likes (Internships): Internships here are very popular. While it may be hard to find a paid internship, there are a lot of companies that offer unpaid internships. If you do a good job, you may be able to parlay that experience into a paid position after graduation. I suggest that you download LinkedIn and start networking with people in your field.
Dislikes (Part time work): For Bachelor students, it's a bit hard to get a paid job because Australia mostly considers Australian work experience. However, you can move your way up by joining university clubs and internships, even if they're unpaid. Basically, you just need to engage yourself in activities.

Tips: You are on your own to find a job. The course is difficult and you have to be constantly working during the semester. You should have good financial background and good academic skills. In order to secure a job, make sure you work hard throughout the course, and maintain a good WAM. If you want to go into the industry, try to get some professional experience beforehand. A lot of people are considering a Ph.D. after my course.
Likes (Safety): The country is safe as everyone knows. Generally no thefts or risks to women. Of course, it is not crime-free. The chances of your cycle getting stolen are high. Also, there are people on the street under the influence who can be a nuisance sometimes as they sometimes shoot but often they don't do any harm.
Dislikes (Internships): No internships are provided by the university. You have to find one yourself. However, it is generally hard to find an internship. It is not that tough to find part-time jobs but still requires some work. Good connections can be really helpful for finding a job.

The country is safe to explore and the transportation facilities are widely available. Try to opt for part-time opportunities to maintain your budget.
Likes (Safety): The city is very secure and it is one of the best cities to live in the world. It is safe because people follow laws, rules and regulations and you would not see anyone on the road with a knife so until you are a good citizen you are safe here.
Dislikes (Value for money): Even after receiving a scholarship, the fee is too much. If you are not from a very well-to-do family and have taken a loan to be a part of a prestigious university, even if you get a good job, you have a huge amount to pay back. So it is not about what is provided, it's more about how much it costs.

My college is friendly, professors are just amazing and transportation is smooth,
Tips: I did experience a culture shift when I moved to Australia, but I was able to mitigate it by living off-campus with one of my professors. I was able to celebrate Indian festivals with them, which helped me feel more at home. I was not able to take advantage of any financial aid, so my parents took out a loan to pay for my education. I am satisfied with my experience because I was able to get a part-time job to help pay for my living expenses.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at Melbourne are astonishing, they are just excellent. There are also many Indian teachers teaching here who helped me a lot in finding part-time jobs. The teachers here are well educated, and their practical approach is evident in their teaching methods.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): We are facing difficulty since elections for permanent settlement as the newly elected government makes the process of immigration more difficult. No, I would like to come back to India after my studies as I wish to open my own clinic earlier and then an entire hospital for neuroscience.

Tips: I was satisfied with the university but it is really difficult to get opportunities for international students. I would suggest students attend orientations and other events that the university conducts so they would be able to interact with different people and make good friends.
Likes (Safety): There is good security at the campus. There were multiple security phone options where you could call security. There is also food relief available on campus so that students can get food from the university every week.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are not many jobs for international students. The university does not aid students in finding full-time jobs. It depends on the student to find full-time opportunities to find a job and it is really difficult as the majority of the big companies do not hire international students.

Tips: We should know that not every college will have what they want. We have to adjust sometimes to the rules of this college. The rules are not that strict. The food options available are also good. For holidays we can take leave whenever and it does not matter.
Likes (Public transportation): I travel in the metro and it is very convenient and comfortable. There is no pushing and the metro is not overcrowded. Also sometimes I go in my car so that is more convenient. But using the public transport is good and I can commute easily.
Dislikes (Student Life): All over there is a pretty good lifestyle but I still feel there is time to improve. You do not have to worry about what people will think. Everyone minds their own business and you have to just enjoy what you are doing.

Independent growth and learning at the University of New Haven.
Tips: UNH has a vibrant community with a majority of Indian students in the masters programme, along with other countries students. The infrastructure is great, the climate conditions in Connecticut is quite unpredictable, but it's usually on the cooler side.
Likes (Indian Food): We found some good Indian restaurants near by like Roti-Boti and we have a good source to buy Indian groceries from Indian farmers market. Being from India we all miss the taste of our favorite regional food, the taste isn't up to the mark but it will do.
Dislikes (Safety): I have seen incidents all over New Haven. None of them were students but it is always good to be cautious and careful. But most of the places are safe the police is responsive and I have not had a single incident from the beginning. But I want everyone who comes from my home country and anyone here to be safe and sound on the street.

Easy going and friendly city.
Tips: Students coming here should know about the location and accommodation because it's a town. Try to find the schedule of public transportation and the University shuttle. I was offered 10% scholarship. I would rate my experience 3 out of 5. The course they provide is the best part of the college and STEM course is really important.
Likes (Indian Food): Indian food is all over the town and some good grocery stores. You can try out American food. Eating outside is the thing that works for me. Turkish and Arab food is worth to taste. Some good malls are there in the town and costs around 15 dollar for a meal.
Dislikes (Part time work): No job opportunities for students in the 1st semester. Academics can be done easily but assignments are quite hectic. 16 dollars per hour on campus, which is manageable. Good for international students to work on campus but it's illegal to work off campus so trying to get any internships.

Tips: The transition is easy, you will find a lot of like-minded people, especially from India. I received a scholarship of 20% based on my profile. The University is good overall, and very pocket-friendly. Also, the area is less expensive than other famous cities but rich cultural heritage. I am quite satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The distinguished faculty members at this institution exemplify excellence in their roles as educators. The challenges of teaching are met with unwavering commitment. Guided by exceptional mentors adeptly facilitate learning experiences for students from diverse backgrounds. Also, studying in the United States introduces a unique academic paradigm, and it ensures clarity in the learning process.
Dislikes (Internships): While the University hosts an annual job fair, the current focus tends to be on fields of Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical etc. ), favoring students who do not require sponsorship. I believe universities should actively explore and create additional opportunities tailored to diverse backgrounds. Despite these challenges, I know and appreciate the university's ongoing efforts to achieve a commendable outcome for the overall improvement of students.

If you are planning to study here, it is okay and average.
Tips: Part-time is going to be a great hurdle to overcome. I heard courses like cyber security and Data Science are a bit difficult. Business Analytics was quite easy you just need to follow classes and complete the assignments on time. If you do that, you are guaranteed to get above 3.5.
Likes (Public transportation): During your semester you could pay $40 to get a charge pass in the college. This pass is valid to travel most of the Connecticut CT Transit's. We have a lot of ways to travel to New York through CT Rail. Compared to other states I think CT public transportation is a lot more easier and cheaper.
Dislikes (Part time work): The on-campus job was quite difficult. It's better to start applying for the roles from India so you would get more chances and less competition. There are not many vacancies as there are a lot of International students so the competition was tough.

Tips: I didn't see any cultural shift as there are many Indian students in the university and even in the classroom you find more Indian students only. The cultural fest is organized in the college and also Diwali, Holi, and Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated in the college. There are two types of scholarships available in the university. Full-time students are automatically considered for scholarships and no additional application is required. The two scholarship are:
1. Dean Scholarship - This scholarship can provide up to 50% tuition assistance during enrollment at the university based on your academic merit and review of academic performance.
2. Provost's Assistantship - An experienced learning and work opportunity for the entirety of the graduate programme and an opportunity to work 15-20 hours a week for an academic department and receive 75% of tuition assistance and an hourly wage. The course is good but the university gives prerequisites for the course which we had to take up these courses first. I had done all these prerequisites during my undergrad only and the university webpage states these prerequisites are waivable but even after coming from a computer Science background and studying those subjects in undergrad, I had to take up these prerequisites and it was not waived off and then we have to pay additional for these subjects which cost me additional of 10 Lacs Indian Rupees and we have to spend another semester for this. Also during course registration, the classes get filled very fast and if we miss, we won't get the subject that we want also for a few courses the university says there are no prerequisite courses but at the time of fee payment they say there are prerequisite courses to be taken and will cancel our registered courses, at this time we are left with very fewer options to register for other courses which we won't get it.
Likes (Indian Food): Indian Farmers Market and Bharat Bazar are 2 miles from the university where you get all the Indian Groceries. Also, there are a few Indian restaurants like House of Naan, Tandoor, Cormandal, Star, Star of India, Lazeez, Sharekhan, Baroza, etc. I prefer cooking at home and eating as the cost in restaurants are high.
Dislikes (Internships): There is very minimal guidance from the university on internship opportunities and students have to search for open positions via LinkedIn or the company careers page or through any other job portals website. Even after applying getting an internship is a very difficult process as we hear only one or two responses after applying for more than around 300 positions. There are minimal internship opportunities in the field of cyber security and competition for these positions is high. You have to be highly talented to secure a job and most of the cyber security positions ask for a few cyber security certifications like Comptia + or certified in cybersecurity or CEH for intern positions.

Tips: No part time options available in and around places.
Don't even think of on campus jobs as those are not available.
No housing, you have to travel to other places to get better housing at reasonable prices. Unnecessary prerequisites will be added.
If you still want to join here, join in fall session and not in spring.
Likes (Indian Food): There are two Indian stores in this area where we can get all the groceries.
But they are expensive when compared to neighboring states.
When compared to other states we get almost all Indian food here. Those two stores are one stop solution for all grocery needs.
Dislikes (Value for money): University is not student friendly while opening CPT for students. No deserving faculty as well. Teaching methods are not proper. No one helps you in on campus jobs, those are only for whites.
You wont get US environment here. This is like university of New Hyderabad and not New Haven

Dislikes (Public transportation): Busses are available but time period between 2 buses is more than 1 hour.
Some transit areas buses are not available,
most of the time buses are delayed.
After 9 pm it's difficult to get public transportation.
College shuttles are available but for limited time period.

The university is stressful but at the same time very supporting.
Tips: If you are considering studying at the University of New Haven, be prepared for a life-changing experience. There will be challenges along the way, but if you work hard, everything will pay off in the end. The syllabus and teaching methods are very different from what you are used to in India. The food is different, and you will have more responsibilities. However, research-oriented courses have a lot of scope.

Tips: This college introduced me to a large network of people and allowed me to forge long-lasting relationships. These connections have been valuable personally and professionally. This college provided the opportunity to explore my interests and passions.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The diverse campus community and countless extracurricular activities made it easy to find like-minded individuals and explore new interests. The academic challenges pushed me to excel and the freedom to choose my courses allowed me to pursue my passions. Plus, the vibrant social scene. Overall, college was a transformative experience.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I had an outstanding experience with the faculty at my college. They were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly dedicated to helping students succeed. The professor was always approachable, willing to provide extra help when needed and passionate about their subjects.

Best that it has great free gym , library, and lot more
Tips: Less off campus jobs but one can try on campus jobs, be careful of some people as they are always influenced on drugs. Stay safe, stay focused on studies, staff will have on campus jobs for students so be in regular touch for TA , RA etc .
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty are good they are very much supportive and can help you in all the course and even after your course is over. I respect them, in life giving respect and being kind will help to reach great heights in life .
Dislikes (Safety): We cannot go out after 8 at night because most people are under the influence of drugs and they don't know what they are doing, they have guns etc. We can call 911 if anything happens, the cops are really supportive.
