Wayne State University provides a strong curriculum for Masters in Chemical Engineer.
Tips: The college has great infrastructure and facilities. However, the winters are cold, especially since the college is located in the north. Also, there are no Indian stores or Walmarts nearby, so you have to travel on weekends to get groceries. Finally, on-campus jobs are competitive, so be prepared to apply.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I was fortunate to have well-skilled and knowledgeable faculty at Wayne State University. They were very precise and to the point, and their teaching helped me land a job after graduation. I found them very approachable, and I was able to reach out to them even after hours if I had any questions.
Dislikes (Internships): I am a chemical engineering student at Wayne State University. Finding an internship in this field is tough, but not impossible. The university holds multiple job fairs, and if you are lucky and have the skills, you can land an internship. The university also guides students to find internships.

Great college, good options for internship and on campus jobs.
Tips: The dorms are a great option for accommodation. The student life at Wayne State is great and there are great activities within the university that students can participate in. However, students should be aware that the winters in Michigan can be harsh, so be sure to take advantage of the safe walks if you need to make a commute at night.
Likes (Student Life): There are good activities carried out by the college, including a job fair and good dorms. The student centre is equipped with a lot of games for kids to play and hang out. The college is close to downtown, so students can go there in the evenings. There are also restaurants in the area where students can go and spend time.
Dislikes (Value for money): The college is expensive compared to the city. Off-campus accommodation is cheaper than on-campus accommodation, but on-campus accommodation is a better option in terms of safety and infrastructure. I also felt that the tuition and fees could have been lower, and there were not many scholarship opportunities.

Very good university but with a high tuition cost for most of us.
Tips: Students should know that the tuition costs are high and remain one of the major concerns of international students here. Also, understand that Columbia gets cold in winter and decide according to your ability to live in colder places. Lastly, public transport is not dependable, and you would need to make friends with people owning a vehicle. Two major airports, Kansas City and St. Louis, are about 2 hours away. The airport in Columbia is small and flight costs are higher than Kansas City and St. Louis.
Likes (Part time work): Almost everyone looking for work find one if they are not very particular about the job for the time being. Part-time work is easy to manage for most students. The average pay range is according to your position, but the minimum pay is 12.50 per hour for any job.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation is not available on weekends and does not cover all student housing locations. You will have to depend on someone to give you a ride to the grocery store unless you plan to have a long commute to the Indian grocery store. If planning to fly out of Columbia, the airport is not big enough and has a limited number of flights.
