Good experience but a bad market with limited job.

Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.

Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part...

Friendly, easy going and academically strong young university with diversity.

Tips: Before joining Dublin City University (DCU), students should understand the course structure, campus facilities and the cost of living in Dublin. Engaging with student support communities and clubs would be of great help. I have availed a 2000 Euro scholarship in tuition fees so you can ask your counsellors regarding the scholarships. Overall, I'm content and satisfied with my course and university.

No attendance, good online study portal, and fair grading system.

Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.

Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to li...

Great transportation facility to explore the city, good University with strong academics.

Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.

Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you the...

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.

Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.

Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin cam...

Finding jobs is a struggle.

Tips: The university expectations are that you already know a lot, and they will brush up on things. You can't be completely Dependent on the university in terms of knowledge. The campus is really big and open. A lot of extra activity clubs and options are available. You can not be completely Dependent on the university for the job. Finding a job is your struggle.

Excellent, approachable, helpful and friendly faculty that motivates us to do good.

Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.

Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study...

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.

Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.

Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't li...

It was great. Right now, job hunt has been stressful

Tips: Be prepared for cold weather. I got sick here frequently when compared to India, you can have a bad throat easily. You will not find any discrimination here, as for scholarships, the Ph.D. students get more chances for them as the funding is directed towards research.

Good networking options,friendly staffs

Tips: Basics of the courses should be known to students coming here. I didn’t get the scholarships. I’m very satisfied with my university and teaching methods. It would be nice to have more internships/co-ops in the final sem. There are more written exams in the course instead I would prefer assignments.

Student life in DCU and Ireland is amazing.

Tips: Do check the course modules beforehand to see if they align with your career or academic goals. The university automatically offers a scholarship with the admission letter to merit students (deciding factors are not known, hence no comments on the same). For some courses, there are no internship options available for the particular subject.

Likes (Value for money): The fees of the course is relatively lower than other universities within Ireland as well as other major study destinations like USA and UK. No concrete data...

Tips: Accommodation is difficult to get. Please book from college to get the best experience and in advance. As you will have to make many compromises. It is important to make friends during the first month as most events happen in October and November. Many student discounts are available, vegetarians always have food options and sustainability thrift shops are present, thrift shops are great!

DCU is an amazing university. Great faculty. Very cool vibe.

Tips: The cultural shift is evident. Mainly weather is a challenge to get used to. Dublin is an expensive city, so unless you have more than adequate funds to support your living and studying costs, kindly refrain from undue pressure. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my choice to study here.

Tips: I am very satisfied with my course, it is a bit on the tough side if you don't have prior experience with electronics and embedded devices. But the course is aligned with the industry needs. Tips: Learn your subjects or at least the basics of your subjects. Make sure you align yourself with the coursework. Assignments are more practical work than written learning. HEA grant is the ideal option as it covers the tuition fees as well as the stay.

DCU: Well structured course and good student life

Tips: Before joining one should have all the knowledge of what course they want to get into as these courses are well structured and will be playing a huge role in developing their career and future. There are merit scholarships available and given out by DCU based on merit which are for 2000 euros. Some other scholarships such as GOI are available which offers full academic fee and stipend. Tips: Students should come with an open mind and embrace this new journey. Try to participate in as many activities during the start of the semester. This way you can explore a hobby along with studies and also it is a good way to meet people and make friends.
