The university is diverse and the student life is fun, vibrant and amazing.
Tips: The experience here is totally different, new culture, new faces, and a new language. It takes some time for everyone to adjust. I didn't get any scholarships, but I know a few people who got 2,000 to 4,000 euros. The university is good, the course is also fine, and the best part is the location. Student life is great. There are so many things that I can get involved with here, such as the very active clubs and societies. There are students from many countries, which gives me a chance to attend all sorts of cultural events. Plus, I'm into sports, so I have joined the cricket, badminton, and trek clubs. I'm also part of the Indian Society and the Hindu Society. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants are expensive, you can get good local food for that amount. Also, these Indian restaurants are not very common here as people here don't prefer spicy food. Cooking at home is a very convenient and money-saving option as compared to having food outside.

Try to connect with your alumni before joining.
Tips: Before joining NUIG students must be well aware of the course. The University has a strong academic reputation, particularly in research and innovation, but coursework can be demanding. Time management and self-discipline are crucial. Secondly, the cost of living is relatively high, so the budget is also essential. It is justified and is worth it to understand deeply about the course you are opting for and getting absolutely relatable knowledge about your interest only helps you to gain knowledge and create more diversified opportunities. The academic is pretty good.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation in this area is very affordable, which is a plus. However, I often found the transportation to be inaccurate when it comes to time. There are also apps that you can use to track the buses, but the information isn't accurate, so you can't always rely on them. I often preferred walking because it saved me euros, and it's nice to get some exercise.

My college is well and good but living here is too costly.
Tips: Students should be aware of the rent system or accommodation system of Galway as it is quite expensive and sometimes it is so tough to find it. If you are in the August-September intake, it is important to start looking for houses as early as possible. You should book your house in March or April, which is about 4-5 months in advance.
Likes (Part time work): Part-time jobs are easily available because there are lots of stores that hire very easily. The pay is 13.5 euros per month, so you can easily manage your monthly expenses. You can work wherever you want, and you will get your part-time job within 1 month of applying.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The buses run infrequently. If I have an appointment off campus, I have to wait an hour or two for the bus to come. As a result, I have to leave for class early and come home late, which affects my ability to get a part-time job.

Irish Education Experience
Tips: University of Galway is the third-best university in Ireland. The campus is amazing, with over 100 hectares of land. Galway is a beautiful cultural town, and Ireland is a very peaceful and scenic country. The course I took was a well-balanced combination of technical and business knowledge. The only downside was the weather, as it rains a lot and the weather conditions can be extreme.
Likes (Safety): Galway City is amazing and safe. However, there are a few things to be aware of. Be wary of Facebook scams related to house rentals. Some scammers will ask for a deposit without even showing you the house. Avoid walking alone at night, especially in certain shady areas. Stay away from the teenage crowd.
Dislikes (Internships): I found my internship via the gradireland website. There are several websites that can help you in your job search, but you need to start applying as soon as you arrive in Ireland. The university also holds job fairs on campus that can help you introduce yourself to potential employers.

The university is beautiful and provides great facilities.
Tips: I'm just glad that I got admission to this university. The cost of tuition is worth it. The large Indian community here celebrates our festivals, and it's a great opportunity to explore a foreign country. Also, there are a lot of job opportunities here with good salaries. I'm really enjoying my time here.
Likes (Value for money): The campus size and facilities are outstanding, and the library and pods for self-study are great. The career guidance is the best part of this university, and it's worth spending a huge amount of money on education in Ireland.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The education system in India is very different from that in Europe. In India, we are used to being spoon-fed information. But in Europe, it's all about self-study. So it's difficult for Indian students to adjust to the European education system.
