University College Cork provides scholarships based on individual academic performance.

Tips: The culture shift is huge in terms of work culture, but it's quite easygoing with a lot of self-development time. The university provides scholarships based on individual academic performance, and I received one based on my class 10 and 12 performance, as well as my bachelor's degree.

Likes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement in Ireland is an easy option, as it takes just 5-6 years to get permanent residency. Although I haven't given any thought to permanent immigration, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stay here for 5-1...

The university has a wonderful, warm and excellent college atmosphere.

Tips: It was a cultural shock for me when I came here but as it's being said slowly and gradually you start loving it. Becoming independent and decision-making is the best thing that happened to me after coming here. I am very much satisfied with the work culture. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros.

Likes (Permanent Immigration): You can avail the citizenship in 5 years after being a regular taxpayer and it depends if I want to avail that opportunity as I am here for 3 years and 2 years doing the job. It also depends on the company ...

UCC is a good college with experienced lecturers. They give equal importance to sports and academy

Tips: Apply for a government scholarship if possible. There is a huge culture change once you come here. Food preferences would be difficult. You should get used to the English accent. Should be prepared for climate change. Accommodation might be expensive to find. Choose the modules according to your preferences

Wonderful and filled with opportunities.

Tips: There is always a cultural shift and students coming here should keep that in mind. Networking is important, and talking to people helps through the transition. Students can get scholarships based on their Bachelors grade. Overall I am very satisfied with the university, the course structure, teaching and opportunities.

Likes (Safety): There are no concerns for safety in Cork City, but it is always better to be careful and sensible. People can travel late night. My advice would be not to be careless when it com...

Transitioning to Irish Academia is tough. Relevant experience will help in landing a job.

Tips: As a student who transition from India to Ireland, I experienced a notable cultural shift. However, I found the Irish people exceptionally hospital and polite, which greatly eased my adaptation. For those considering this move, it's important to embrace these new cultural experiences with an open mind. In terms of accommodation, my initial experience in 2020 was quite smooth. However, it's crucial for the incoming students to be aware that the current situation has changed - finding an accommoda...

Thorough evaluation and thought must be given before you commit to the course.

Tips: The course was quite stressful and didn't have a lot of options including some hidden conditions such as only qualifying for your full master's degree on scoring a 60 above on average. The course isn't designed for fresh graduates. You are in a much better position if you approach this after at least 5 years of experience.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty were pretty approachable but there are a few who weren't. Overall staff were pretty accessible. But most of them do not entertain or support questions / provide sup...

Good student life but academically okay

Tips: The classes are for 2 hours a week which is very less for any subject. Few of the subjects are not even related. You need to study on your own in order to learn something new. Also, some assignments are really bad and so unrelated that it does not make sense to do them.

Likes (Student Life): Lots of events and trips to different places. You can join many clubs of your choice. You will have a good time studying with access to the library and most importantly access to mardyke sports arena which has multiple options for...

Quality enhancement at UCC

Tips: Studying abroad in University college Cork was the best decision I took back while I was in India. The campus is beautiful and the classes are competitive but they can be managed. People here are very warm and welcoming in nature. The city is very safe and is very modern. I highly recommend this city and university to fellow Indian students. Not only academics you'll get to learn a lot about Irish Culture and I believe that it is what diversifies you.

University to have fun, learn and explore more!

Tips: University college cork is really the best college in town. It has good infrastructure. Academicians here are very knowledgeable and approachable to clear our doubts at all times. They have a good Indian society club and a lot of programs are conducted through this society.

Likes (Student Life): Student life is really good here. The campus is excellent. Classes are conducted for maximum 3-4 hours a day so that we can concentrate, prepare the topics and explore on our own. There are several clubs and societies that we...

UCC was amazing with loads of fun activities and societies to take the academic pressure off.

Tips: Before joining students must know that they'll need to divide everything into different parts and have to handle all the situations by themselves. They will also need to plan well financially and academically, because sometimes it might get overwhelming.

Great university, but you will have to work hard!

Tips: Research on the course that you have taken for a particular college. If you cannot put the amount of work required to graduate then go for the easier options. In my course, for example, if you do not cross 60% in aggregate, you would be given a Diploma instead of Masters. But rarely it happens that someone gets a Diploma.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation cost is reasonable and has high availability. They also provide student leap cards which further decreases the traveling cost. Also, you wouldn't require t...
