Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU), a public research institution in Bavaria, Germany entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Experion Technologies, a global product engineering & digital transformation services firm to strengthen collaborative efforts in research and development in the realm of Energy Systems, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The alliance will facilitate collaborative research projects focused on smart energy systems, with a particular emphasis on AI and simulation. Both partners aim to drive innovation in this critical domain by extending mutual access to research facilities, specialized laboratories, and computational resources to promote research through pooling resources and expertise.

The university and Experion Technologies will enable students immersed in research and theoretical work at JMU to collaborate with Experion project teams. They will establish avenues for reciprocal learning through exchange programs.








Under the partnership the JMU students get the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to research projects that involve real-world applications in Experion’s commercial environment while the Experion staff to engage in academic research, gaining insights into the latest advancements in smart energy systems and AI, which is in line with the organization’s Culture of Learning. 







Prof. Marco Pruckner, Chair of Modeling and Simulation, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at JMU said, "This collaboration represents a convergence of academic rigour and industry pragmatism. Together with Experion Technologies, we plan to drive forward joint research and developing projects in the field of smart energy systems and vehicle grid integration.”
