Many scholarships are offered to international students at the university. These include:

OIP Scholarship for International Students 

An international student who has completed at least one semester in K-State and is willing to return for the next school year will be awarded one $750 bill each Fall by the International Program Office. The university will select a student every year in the Spring, and funds are available the following Fall for the award to be disbursed to eligible students.

International Student Center Scholarship

The Educational Opportunity Fund attempts to help underrepresented groups through financial aid. All overseas students can apply for one of the eight $700 scholarships granted by the International Student Center. Every year, they select students in the Spring, and money is available for these awards in the Fall.

K-State Alumni Association International Student Scholarship

The International Student Scholarships of the K-State Alumni Association are for international students of Kansas State University. These bursaries are for international graduates or undergraduates enrolled on the campus of Manhattan, Polytechnic, or Olathe, the leadership of which has contributed to international participation on the campus.

William L. Richter International Scholarship

International students with monetary needs are preferred. Such students must also demonstrate academic potential. Every year, they select students in the Spring, and money is available for these awards in the Fall.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarships-

  • A person enrolled in the university must be a graduate or undergraduate student

  • In the preceding academic year, a student must not have obtained this bursary

  • K-State shall issue a student’s current I-20 or DS-2019

  • In the Fall of 2020 semester or before, students must have been properly enrolled in K-state

  • In the Fall 2021 semester, students must continue as K-State students

  • Graduates before the Fall of 2021 are not eligible for this bursary

For transfer students, a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA is required. Furthermore, the renewal of scholarships for continuing students typically requires a 3.0 cumulative K-State GPA, with specific scholarships like the Presidential Scholarship requiring a 3.5 cumulative K-State GPA for renewal.
