Tips: Before joining this college, students should be prepared for a cultural shift. This includes walking or biking a lot, a more work-life balance oriented culture, simpler food, and a high party/drinking culture. Despite these differences, I am very satisfied with the quality of education at my university, and I find my course very interesting and well taught.

Likes (Safety): The country, especially the city of Maastricht is really safe. Watch out for bike thefts though. There are often police patrols late at night, as well as the prison/rehabilitation system is very good in this country and the crime rate is generally very low. I have had many instances of returning from events or parties quite late at night alone or with few friends and we are able to walk/bike without a care of getting in any trouble.
