Applications open for Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists Flagship Program: Apply by August 26

Study in US: Wharton University of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists flagship program. Interested business journalists are invited for these seminars which will be held on Wharton’s Philadelphia campus. This opportunity offers many funding options for journalists. National Press Foundation (NPF) is offering an all-expenses-paid fellowship for U.S.-based journalists.
In its more than 50 years of existence, Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists has offered journalists a great platform to network with journalists from other countries, broaden their perspectives in a stimulating environment, and expand their knowledge. The event provides hands-on exercises that help reporters gain a better understanding of key business and economic issues.
Eligibility criteria and other details
Journalists who are employed full-time by legitimate media companies including online platforms, broadcast, and print can apply. The participants will get a chance to interact with journalists from the world’s leading business news organizations and improve their understanding of the fundamentals of business strategy, and after completing the course the participants will get a Wharton School Certificate of Completion.
Wharton Executive Education launches two new programs
The two new programs launched are - the Wharton Family Office Program: Balancing Family Harmony and Financial Prosperity and Family Wealth Management: Advanced Financial Strategies.
The program is for seasoned financial professionals to gain expertise in family wealth management. The first run will be between October 28–November 1, 2024, and the second run will be from January 13–17, 2025.
Co-academic director Raffi Amit said, “This is really a unique segment within the general asset-management industry. It’s more than just investing in an asset that provides the highest return for a given level of risk—it’s a complicated, holistic process.”
Financial advising program topics include investing in hedge funds, real estate, volatile markets, fixed-income investing, real estate, and the latest trends in wealth transfer and wealth management.
