RMIT University is offering Foundation Academic Scholarships worth AU$5,000 to foreign students. There are twenty-five scholarships available for semester 1, 2025. The last date to apply for the scholarship is January 31, 2025.
This scholarship is to provide financial assistance towards the tuition fees to outstanding international students.
"The total value of the scholarship is AU$5,000, one-off payment towards future tuition fee to be paid after the first census date into student's university account," reads the official statement.
Eligibility Criteria For RMIT University Foundation Academic Scholarships
The following are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship:
- The applicants must have an offer letter from the university in any stream of the Foundation Studies program commencing in Feb 2025.
- The applicants should not be existing Foundation Studies students.
- They must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
- They should be an international student holding a valid student visa. Those who are planning to apply for a student visa before the start of the program can also apply.

The applicant should follow these steps to apply:
Step 1: Select an eligible program. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational courses across business, engineering, and information technology.
Step 2: Submit an application for the selected program.
Step 3: The candidates must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
RMIT University Foundation Academic Scholarships: More Details
The scholarship is non-refundable and is only for the tuition fees. The scholarship cannot be deferred for next year. The selection is based on academic merit and the successful applicants will be notified. Those who do not get any notification must know that they are not selected for the scholarship. It will be offered on a rolling basis until exhausted.
"Applicants should not be in receipt of any other external scholarship or government-funded sponsorship covering tuition fees (applicants who are awarded either the English to Foundation Studies Pathway Bursary or South East Asia Foundation Studies Bursary are eligible for this scholarship)," added the official statement.
