Study In US: Saint Louis University Engages US Commercial Service In Mumbai
To strengthen its ties with India, the Saint Louis University team visited India and met with the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) officials. SLU’s in association with USCS worked to significantly increase the foreign students’ enrollment at the SLU.
Study Abroad: To deepen its commitment to global education and strengthen its ties in India, a leadership team from the Saint Louis University visited India. During the visit, the delegation had a key meeting with the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) officials.
SLU President Dr. Fred P. Pestello said, “We are grateful for the continued partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service. These discussions have strengthened our commitment to expanding SLU’s presence in India and enhancing the support we offer to our international students. We look forward to building on these relationships and exploring new avenues for collaboration.”
Rob Reddy, SLU’s Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management was also part of the delegation, he said, “Saint Louis University is dedicated to expanding its global footprint and offering comprehensive support to its international students. These engagements exemplify our commitment to educational excellence, paving the way for a promising future for students and communities across the globe.”
Saint Louis University Delegation Meeting With USCS Officials Details
During the meeting, the visiting delegation met with the USCS principal commercial officer and education lead for India. U.S. Commercial Service is a part of U.S. Department of Commerce and it helps US organizations expand their global reach and build international partnerships.
SLU’s association with USCS in the past two years have contributed to a notable increase in the foreign students enrollment at the university. SLU currently have a record 3,200 international students from over 90 countries.
“Among other notable initiatives is Mumbai 1+1, a pathway program that allows students to complete the first year of their master’s degree at Mumbai University and the second year at SLU in the United States. An inaugural group of 55 students began their studies in Cybersecurity and Analytics last fall at Mumbai University in August 2024,” says SLU statement.
Edward J. Feser To Be 34th President Of Saint Louis University
The university has announced the appointment of Dr. Edward J. Feser as the next President of the university.
While commenting on this, Feser said, “Saint Louis University is a remarkable institution with an impressive history of impact, and it will be both exciting and a privilege to lead it. I am thrilled at the prospect of joining the SLU community and contributing to the university’s outstanding legacy.”
