For its Auditing and Environmental Management System, the University Of Exeter scored a full 100% and for Education, Sustainable Food, and Environmental Policy, it scored 90% and above.

A national league table ranking the ethical and environmental performance of higher education institutions witnessed the University Of Exeter entering within the top ten positions.

In the 2024/25 People & Planet University League, the university rose to ninth position jumping by 12 places. It retained its status as one of 25 ‘first-class universities’. In the Russell Group, it was the highest-ranked university. People & Planet has ranked 150 universities this year against 14 different criteria.

"The University scored a full 100% for its Auditing and Environmental Management System, and scores of 90% and above for Environmental Policy, Sustainable Food and Education. It also excelled in its provision of expert sustainability staff and senior leadership commitment, and for student and staff engagement more broadly," reads the university statement.

The ecological and climate emergency crisis is in Exeter’s Strategy 2030. It is at the heart of Exeter's mission including in the management and education of campuses. The university has collaborated with partners in the UK, South West, and worldwide to work on climate and environment. The university has over 1,400 researchers working on it.








Exeter’s Centre For Degree Partnerships Wins Gold At QS Reimagine Awards

The university won in the category - Power of Partnerships. This category recognizes institutes which use collaborations to inspire others to collaborate, enhance the learning experience, and influence the educational landscape.







Rachael Johnstone, Head of Executive Learning and Director of the Centre for Degree Partnerships said: “We’re delighted that the Centre for Degree Partnerships has won the QS Reimagine gold award, which is recognition of how we are addressing skills gaps and helping to diversify workforces through our degree apprenticeship programmes, which integrate academic excellence with industry collaboration.”

The current employer partners working with the Centre include UBS, JP Morgan, Amazon, NHS, BBC, Bank of England, IBM UK, Bloomberg, and many government departments.

The centre works with more than 400 UK-based and global organisations to ensure the degree apprenticeship programmes are according to the current and future demands of the workforce and it works to address skill deficits.
