Florida State University ranks high in various US rankings 2025

It is among the top 25 public universities in the US as per U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges 2025” guidebook. The university also shines in Nursing, Business and Innovation. It was placed at number 10 ranking in the Niche’s 2025 Top Public Universities in America.

Study in US: In the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges 2025” guidebook, Florida State University is among the top 25 public universities in the US. It was lauded and recognized for its innovative approach, business and Nursing education.

In the category of publication’s First-Year Experiences, the university is at the No. 1 in the state of Florida, and at No. 7 ranking among public institutions.

The rankings are based on a survey of college provosts, admissions deans and presidents. FSU President Richard McCullough said, “Florida State University is dedicated to ensuring that every student has the resources they need to succeed from day one. We continue to invest in a robust array of student support initiatives, and they are yielding exceptional results."

Based on this survey, FSU is at No. 21 among public universities. The participants of the survey have termed the university as one of the nation’s “Most Innovative Schools”.

“Florida State University faculty and staff are dedicated to student success. Students are achieving excellence during their careers at FSU because of our teams that support their hard work as they build pathways to four-year graduation and successful careers," said Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Jim Clark.

Florida State University at No. 10 in Niche’s 2025 Top Public Universities in America

In the 2025 Niche report, it was at the top position for Best Greek Life Colleges in America, in second position for Best Colleges for Criminal Justice in America, sixth position for Best Colleges for Accounting and Finance in America, and seventh place for Best Student Life in America and best Colleges for Sport Management in America.

While commenting on this, President Richard McCullough said, “This recognition really shows how hard our faculty, students and staff have been working. It’s proof of the academic excellence, innovative research and vibrant campus life we have here at Florida State University. We’re incredibly proud of this achievement, and it’s great to see that people are noticing the amazing things happening at FSU.”
