Study in UK: This year Global Fellows Programme saw the participation of 30 PhD students from Imperial College London and Tokyo Tech. It was a five-day program to improve skills in interdisciplinary and international settings.

The students participated in group talks, work, sessions and activities focused on developing skills. The theme of the programme was ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’.

Global Fellows Programme was built on Goal 3 of the UN’s Sustainable Development which aims to promote wellbeing and ensure healthy lives for all at all ages.

Imperial’s Professor Yun Xu, from the Department of Chemical Engineering, welcomed the participants and said, “Imperial’s world-class research relies on international and interdisciplinary collaborations, and we are proud to work with Tokyo Tech for our fourth iteration of this programme. It offers a unique opportunity for PhD students to develop skills to succeed in international and interdisciplinary collaborations, whether in research or beyond.”

“It was a career-enriching and life-affirming week - the most memorable experience of my PhD so far. The programme was a path to making genuine international connections," said one of the Imperial students.
