More International Students Expected To Study In UK In 2025: Indian MD Oxford International Education Services

In the globalization era when universities across the globe are collaborating for student exchange and dual programs, the study abroad trend is catching up worldwide. Governments are also promoting it. With the year coming to an end, Mohit Gambir, Indian Managing Director of Oxford International Education Services has said that the UK can see more international students going to study there in the year 2025.

While talking about the Outlook for 2025, he said that despite the changing policies across various countries, studying abroad is still going to be a popular trend.

Mohit Gambir said, "This year has been marked by significant policy changes across key international study destinations—Canada, Australia, and the UK—bringing challenges and uncertainties to the sector. Despite these shifts, the resilience and adaptability demonstrated by stakeholders across the industry have ensured continued opportunities for students who aspire to study abroad."

"Amid the current geopolitical challenges affecting Canada, there has been a noticeable shift in student preferences, with the United Kingdom emerging as a favored destination. Additionally, the UK government’s efforts to strengthen this position, particularly through initiatives like the International Graduate Route allowing students to stay and work for up to two years after completing their degrees, increase confidence among students. We foresee 2025 as a year of resurgence for the UK with more students opting to pursue higher education there,” he added.

Three International Education Trends for 2025

According to ICEF Monitor, three study abroad trends for 2025 include demand and revenue optimization, personalizing communications, and on-the-ground representation.

It said that the demand for study abroad is volatile and is changing so fast. While choosing a university abroad, students consider many factors including ease of transportation, cost of living, campus location, graduate outcomes, course duration, scholarships and rankings.
