The latest Express Entry draw report has been released on 18 July 2024. It is released approximately every two weeks.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) use the latest Express Entry to draw candidates for migration to Canada in these economic immigration programs - Canadian Experience Class, a portion of the Provincial Nominee Programs, Federal Skilled Worker, and Federal Skilled Trades.
The applicants need to have university or college degrees, moderate proficiency in English and/or French, and skilled work experience.
The CanadaVisa page shows the latest Express Entry draw results. The draws are either general or program-specific. On 18 July, IRCC issued 1800 invitations to apply (ITAs), the minimum CRS score needed is 400 (French language proficiency only). On 17 July, 6,300 invitations were issued, and the minimum CRS score required was 515 (Canadian Experience Class only), on 16 July, 1,391 invitations were issued and the CRS score required was 670 (Provincial nominees only).
Express Entry Details
It is an online system which the Canadian government uses to process applications of professionals who intend to visit and work in Canada. The information needed to apply for Express entry includes an Educational credential assessment report, Language test results, and A passport or travel document.
Once a candidate prepares a profile on Express Entry, they get a score based on their profile. After receiving the score, the candidates need to regularly update their profile and seek opportunities as it will improve their scores which eventually increases the applicant's chance to get an invitation.
Those who will get selected will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence. For applying, the applicants need documents including police clearance certificates, additional identity documents, reference letters, and the results of a medical examination, as reported by the Canadian Immigration Law Firm.
The cost to migrate through the Express Entry platform is $4,500 CAD for a couple and $2,300 CAD for a single applicant. The breakdown of the costs is - government fees: $1,525/adult & $260/child, biometrics: $85/person, language tests: average cost – $300, Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): Average cost – $200, police clearance certificates: Average cost – $100/country, and medical examination fees: average cost – $450/adult & $250/child.
The initial application process has no fees, the fees need to be submitted only when the applicant gets selected and invited to Canada through Express Entry.
