We have the breadth and depth within the institution,” said Professor Ryan. It’s not just a smattering of research stars. We’ve basically got a whole galaxy of them who work and publish well together.”

Monash University Leads In Getting Research Funding

Under the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Projects scheme, the university has been granted more than $49m in research funding. These fundings are for the 72 Monash University research projects. These research projects include those investigating sustainable cities, safer AI, and healthy ageing and which cross HASS and STEM disciplines.

"The results reflect Monash’s strengths in research across many fields and would enable groundbreaking research discoveries. We have a wide range of talent at Monash across many disciplines and this also really speaks to the importance and strength of discovery research. Thank you to the Australian Research Council for its continued support and congratulations to all the Chief Investigators and research teams involved," said Mike Ryan.
