Monash University’s Change It Challenge Winners Announced At India Final
Study in Australia: Monash University’s Change It Challenge in India winners are three high-school students from Coimbatore.
Study Abroad: Monash University Australia announced the India Change it Challenge winners which were high-school students from Coimbatore.
The Vidyashilp Academy, Bengaluru hosted this challenge in India. The three winners Sriram, Srinivas, and Srivastav showcased a presentation on the impacts of methane gases on rising temperatures. The innovative presentation involved using a biogas generator for renewable energy and cow dung to clean.
These winners were among the six finalists who presented to address and tackle global issues. Their aim was to encourage partnership with other students in India and to raise awareness of their chosen topic.
The lead judge Dr Bodean Hedwards, Director of International Network Enablement said, “The Monash University Change it Challenge is an opportunity to encourage students to look at how they can change the world for the better. The Challenge aims to engage and inspire students to tackle the challenges of the age and see the possibilities that await them in higher education and here at Monash.”

We’re looking to deliver this with scope, expertise, and partnerships to create change at a global level,” added Dr Bodean Hedwards.
“Dr Rao Pasupuleti, Director, International Relations & Research Collaborations at Reva University, supported Dr Hedwards alongside Mrs Annie Santhana, Regional Director - Education (South Asia) at Victorian Government Trade and Investment,” says the official statement.
More Details Of India Change It Challenge Winners
The three winners collected their reward alongside Dr Bodean Hedwards, Monash University's Director of International Network Enablement. The reward is the opportunity to travel to Melbourne where they will compete with winners from other countries at the Monash University Change it Challenge finale event in February 2025.
“The Change It Challenge aims to engage and inspire high school students to create meaningful change in the areas of climate change and thriving communities. Teams were encouraged to leverage education, research, innovation, and cultural transformation in their presentation to make a positive global impact,” reads the official statement.
