Newcastle University Announces £7,000 Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships For Indians
Newcastle University in the UK has announced Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships for Indian students seeking undergraduate admissions in the academic year 2025/26. The scholarship is worth up to £7,000.
Study in UK: Newcastle University has unveiled Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship Programs for foreign students taking admissions in 2025. The scholarship amount will depend on the particular programme. The successful EU and international applicants can get up to £7,000 or full tuition fee reimbursement.
There are a total of 250 scholarship awards available. The programs are going to start in September 2025.
Eligibility Criteria For Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships For Indians
The following are the conditions needed to apply for the award:
- Applicants should be assessed as international students for fee purposes.
- Need to be domiciled in one of the following countries including India, Canada, Bahrain, Jordan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, UAE, Turkey, Vietnam and the USA.
- They should have an offer of study from the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for an eligible undergraduate degree course for the 2025/26 academic year.
How To Apply
The applicants need not fill out a separate application for the Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship as they will be considered for it as part of the academic degree application.
The university has encouraged early applications as the awards may be allocated during the beginning of the application cycle.
The applicants must visit the scholarship webpages to get details on the individual schemes including application process, eligibility criteria and deadlines.
“International students contribute a variety of viewpoints to the lecture halls, labs, and the larger community by studying with domestic students, enhancing the city's and the university's intellectual and cultural life. The campus learning environment is improved, and every student is better equipped to succeed in a globalised world owing to this international interchange of ideas and experiences. Hundreds of international students have benefited from Newcastle University's six-year-old Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship program, which has helped them achieve their academic goals,” said the university’s statement.
Newcastle University: Latest Update
The university was recently funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to support its doctoral students.
"The funding will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of researchers, specialists and industry experts across a wide range of sectors and industries," said Professor Matthew Grenby.
