Newcastle University is offering Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships for the 2025 intake. There are 30 scholarships each for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The scholarship will start from September 2025 for the full duration of the degree programme. The application closing date is February 27, 2025.

For UG courses the Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships is offering 50% of tuition fee , and for PG courses it is providing up to 50% or 100% of tuition fees. To apply for this scholarship, the applicants should separately apply on the official website of the Newcastle University.

Eligibility Criteria For Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships 2025

The following are the eligibility requirements:

  • For undergraduate courses, the candidates should be domiciled in the following courses - India, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Honk Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea, Japan, China, Canada, USA, Kenya, UAE and South Africa. For postgraduate courses, the scholarship applicants should be a domicile of - USA, Canada, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Peru, Colombia, Peru, Turkey, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei.
  • For fee purposes, they should be assessed as international students.
  • For undergraduate course, they should have an offer of eligible undergraduate degree programme for the academic year 2025/26 from University's Newcastle. Similarly, for enroling in postgraduate program they should have an offer of eligible Master’s degree programme from the university.
  • For the UG course, the applicant should have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent and for the PG course, they should expect to receive or already have the equivalent of an upper second-class UK honours degree or above.
  • Apart from other eligibility requirements, the applicants must be domiciled in Nigeria or Ghana to be eligible for the 100% scholarships in PG courses.

"Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application," says the official statement.
