Purdue University Launches New Programs In Indianapolis For Fall 2025
Study Abroad: Purdue University has introduced new programs in Indianapolis across Science, Entrepreneurship, and various departments of Engineering.
Study in US: Purdue University has announced new undergraduate and graduate programs in Indiana’s capital city. These programs are across subjects which are high in demand.
While announcing the new subjects, Jeffrey Karpicke, the James V. Bradley Professor of Psychological Sciences and associate vice provost for Indianapolis said, “As we continue to develop new and existing programs, we are interested in opportunities that maximize the strengths of Indianapolis’ entrepreneurial ecosystem, from industry partnerships that lead to internships to research and experiential learning opportunities that support and enhance central Indiana’s STEM workforce."
Purdue University's New Courses At Indianapolis: More Details
There are six new courses announced for the fall 2025 semester. These are being offered at multiple colleges and units of the Purdue University. The following are the new courses announced at the university:
- Bachelor of Science in Integrated Business and Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science
- Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering – Sports Engineering Concentration
- Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Master of Science in Software Engineering
- Master of Science in Chemical Engineering – Pharmaceutical Engineering Concentration
Lucy Flesch, Purdue’s Frederick L. Hovde Dean of the College of Science commented, “The expansion of this prestigious Purdue program in Indianapolis represents a significant milestone, broadening access to world-class actuarial education in Indiana’s economic hub. This strategic growth will strengthen connections with industry partners, create new opportunities for internships and employment, and empower students in Indianapolis to thrive in one of the most in-demand and rewarding career fields.”
Jim Bullard, the Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Daniels School commented, “We’re excited to offer our undergraduate degree program in Integrated Business and Engineering to a cohort on the Indianapolis campus. The program is one of the fastest growing offerings in our portfolio because it allows students to benefit from Purdue’s worldwide reputation in engineering and the STEM fields while mastering the intersection of business and technology.”
Eckhard Groll, the William E. and Florence E. Perry Head of Mechanical Engineering added, “The Sports Engineering Professional Master’s Program is unique. It’s a proper engineering degree, but it also encompasses all aspects of sports engineering — from biomechanics and materials science to management and legal aspects of the industry. And there’s no better place to get started than Indianapolis, which is home to multiple professional teams, headquarters of the NCAA and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”
