Study Abroad: Apply for 2025 Global Korea Scholarship by Oct 25
Global Korea Scholarship offers international students a chance to study in Korea. The idea is to strengthen the mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries and enhance the international education exchange. The application deadline is October 25, 2024.
Study in Korea: Indian students who are looking to study in Korea can apply for the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship. The last date to submit the application form is October 25, 2024.
"In accordance with the Korea-Ukraine MOU, the Ukrainian government will conduct the first round of selection for IRTS (Ukraine). All applicants' documents must be submitted through the Korean embassy and adhere to the submission requirements of the National Institute for International Education," reads the official statement.
Along with the application form, the candidates need to submit the personal statement, study plan, GKS Applicant Agreement, one letter of recommendation, and personal medical assessment. The applicants also need to submit proof of citizenship, an academic transcript of the high school curriculum, and a high school graduation certificate.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility conditions to apply for Global Korea Scholarship:
- The applicant should not be a Korean citizen.
- Those students and their parents who had previously held Korean citizenship need to prove their renunciation of Korean citizenship.
- Those who graduated from a high school or from an associate degree program can apply for a Bachelor's program.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation from high school can apply for the associate degree program.
- The applicant should be below 25 years of age and must be in good physical and mental health to study in Korea.
"Applicants who are expected to graduate (as of December 31, 2024) must first submit a certificate of expected graduation at the time of application. If such applicants pass the first round of selection, they must submit a graduation certificate (or a degree certificate) by December 31, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your acceptance," added the official statement.
The preference will be given to Koreans living in foreign countries, or those who scored high in English proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL, those who are from underprivileged backgrounds and low-income families, applicants who applied to engineering and science departments, and a winner of a national level competition on technical skills.
