ASU is on a spree collaborating with various Indian institutes and now it has announced its plan to set up an AI-enhanced ‘agentic’ university in India.
Study in US: Of late, Arizona State University (ASU) has been collaborating with various Indian institutes to strengthen its presence in India. While talking to the media, ASU President Michael M Crow said that the university is exploring the possibility of establishing an advanced AI-enhanced "agentic" university in India.
"ASU has already partnered with five Indian universities -- Chitkara University (Punjab), Shiv Nadar University (Greater Noida), Anurag University (Hyderabad), RV University (Bengaluru), and Rajalakshmi Engineering College (Chennai)," he said, as reported by The Hindu.
Arizona State University Collaborations In India Details
The university is planning to grow its network in India by partnering with up to 10 institutes to offer advanced digital learning resources to Indian students and to offer them access to dual-degree programs.
"Our goal is to offer honour students in India simultaneous exposure to American and Indian educational pedagogies through ASU’s digital learning repository. Ultimately, many of these students will have the opportunity to complete a dual-degree program at ASU in the US," he said.
Crow added "we are exploring the possibility of creating a new, ultra-modern, AI-enhanced ‘agentic’ university in India. This would leverage the advanced educational technologies ASU has developed over the last 15 years".
While talking about Indian students at ASU, he said "In India, the number of students enrolled at our collaborative centres is in the low thousands and then we have 7000 Indian students enrolled at ASU in the United States."
"Our approach is to provide high-performing Indian students with a world-class education at an affordable cost while ensuring seamless transition opportunities to ASU in the US," he added.
ASU Offers Pathways To Admission For LA-Wildfires Impacted Students
The university has offered help to the high school students of the Los Angeles area who were impacted by the devastating LA wildfires recently.
"Families can now visit asu.edu/SupportLA to learn about guaranteed pathways to admission at ASU, as well as one-on-one help for meeting application deadlines and managing educational costs," says the university statement.
President Michael Crow said, “ASU has been inspired by the LA-area families who are doing all they can to recover and move forward. It’s part of our university charter to help the communities we serve, and this is one small way that we can assist Angelenos. Everyone deserves access to high-quality education no matter their circumstances.”
