Study in Australia: Apply soon for Griffith University International Research Scholarships!
International candidates interested in securing Griffith University International Research Scholarships must apply by 27 August 2024.
The scholarship funds the tuition fees of doctoral candidates for up to three and a half years and for research masters candidates, for up to two years. The students also get ancillary costs of undertaking the HDR program which includes the cost of a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy that covers the students and their dependents for up to 42 months and the Student Services and Amenities Fee.
Eligibility Criteria for Griffith University International Research Scholarships
The following are the eligibility conditions:
- Candidates must be enrolled in an HDR program at Griffith University for which GUIPRS support is available.
- They should be international students and not citizens of Australia or New Zealand.
- Have a bachelor's degree with first-class honours
- Should not be holding a Commonwealth Government Australia Award scholarship or other scholarships.
"Research candidates are required to hold a visa for their program length plus an additional eight months to allow for interactive thesis marking. Candidates undertaking a PhD will require 57 months of overseas health cover. Holders of Griffith University scholarships will receive cover (if undertaking a PhD) for the first 42 months of their program and will be required to pay the remaining 15 months (and provide evidence of coverage) at the time of accepting their offer," reads the official statement.
How to apply for Griffith University Research Degree Programs
Following are the steps the students must follow to apply for the programs:
- They need to choose the research degree and also check the eligibility requirements for their chosen degree.
- Students must find a research supervisor or project depending on their area of study and research.
- Search for the scholarships available for that particular degree, and there is also option to apply without any scholarships.
- Upload the required documents including CV.
- Submit the completely filled application form.
